My testicles atrophied after using Androcur and while I never had hot flashes my energy levels plummeted and I just felt pretty bad after a while even after getting used to the medication. My testicles shrunk to about the size of large grapes and when they pulled up inside it looked like I didn't have any. After I stopped the Androcur they didn't return to normal which is what I was hoping. I saw my doctor and he ordered a blood test and my T level was 146 so he referred me to a urologist and he prescribed injectable T at 100 mg per week. I've been on it 2 months and a week and I feel better than when I had functioning testicles and I can control the dose, my drive, etc.
I decided that it was time to get rid of my shrunken testicles so I decided to go the Everclear route and then have my urologist remove them. That way the insurance will pay for it and if they won't pay to remove the scrotum I can pay out of pocket for that later. So today I did my first injection with a 27 gauge 1 1/4" syringe of 189 proof Everclear grain alcohol. I injected 3cc into both testicles about 40 minutes ago. They are both hard and swollen right now but not very painful unless I put light pressure on them. I did the right one first and that barely hurt at all until the last cc went in. Then it there was a mild ache and some burning that I could all the way through to my side. Then it seemed to go numb for a little while I got the left one ready. I didn't have tied up and it pulled up inside as if it knew what was coming. After a short wrestling match I got it into position and injected 3 cc into the center. There was a little more pain than the right so I retracted the needle a little bit and things went smooth after that.
Besides for the swelling I've just got a mild dull ache. The plan is to inject each time the swelling goes down until they are in the right condition to see the doctor. It's going to feel great to not have these things hanging down there.

It's just over 90 minutes since I finished the injections. It was fun to see my testicles return to their original size after they swelled up from being pumped full of Everclear and then becoming inflamed. I'm doing pretty good at the moment. I laid down for about a half hour after taking a 5mg Percocet for the ache. It's mostly in my low back and a little bit in my pubic area. My balls are sore to the touch, hard, and at least double their original size. I was surprised that I could get 3 cc into both of them considering that they were half of their original size to start with. The left one was the smaller of the two and I think that's what the extra pain was from but it still took 3cc and no leaks. The 27 gauge needle is the perfect size and the 1 1/4" length is about right but you can go shorter.
My balls want to pull up inside but they are too swollen to up into the canals. I would say that my pain now is about a zero when I'm sitting and my balls aren't being pressed on by anything. The discomfort is mild when I walk, overall this isn't bad at all. I'm going to put an ice pack down there before I go to bed. If this is the worst of it then it's definitely worth doing.

4 hours in things are going great. I've got about half the soreness that I started with and the ache is gone. My balls are still really sore and 3 times their size but I can lightly handle them and walk around the house without much discomfort. The pain medication has warn off and I don't need to take anymore. I think 800 mg of Ibuprofen is all that you need after an injection and an ice pack if needed. Another thing that I've noticed is that my ball are cold and it's not from the ice. They were always warm to the touch especially under clothing but not since the injections. I can't wait to inject them again. Hopefully within a week they will be ready to go.

It's been almost 7 hours since I did the injections and the swelling has started to go down. Ice helps and I also used 500 mg of naproxen. I took one earlier in the day and one after I did the injections. It's prescription strength Eleve which you can buy pretty much anywhere. It's a strong anti inflammatory and it seems to be helping to reduce the swelling. My sac isn't tight anymore which tells me that they are going back down in size. My scotum turned a dark red color then on to purple for a while but it's starting to lighten back up now.
It's been a positive experience so far. I'll check back in after a few days to report on my condition. As I mentioned before my testicles were atrophied and I'm on injectable testosterone so what I'm doing is just for cosmetic purposes. Hopefully two months of back to back injections should be enough damage for my urologist to give me an orchiectomy. I can go 4 months if I have to but the sooner the better.
Has anyone qualified for surgery with these injection within a 2-4 month window? I have read the forum and see what I find.

I sympathize with you.
It seems to me that the urologist should meet your halfway, he should understand your risks!
I would try to enlighten him about the recently published guidelines:
Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender and Gender Diverse People, Version 8

Thank you, I'm going to read that document and so further research. It's also a matter of insurance coverage which is always questionable. I'm going to stick with the current plan and see how quickly I can get to my goal. The next time I do it I'm adding food grade calcium chloride for cheese making into the grain alcohol for a quicker result. I set a goal of getting them out in 6 months, so let's see how it goes.

Hi Nathan.....what do you plan to say to the urologist, to persuade him to perform the orchiectomy? Is your plan to get them to be totally non-functional? I think a lot of urologists work from the perspective of trying everything to avoid removing a guy's testicles, no matter how poorly they function or how small they become.

I'm going to complain about pain and discomfort. They were non functional before I went on Testosterone injections so that part is established. The goal is to damage them to the point where there's no logical argument to keep them.

It's been about 20 hours since the injections and there's no pain and the swelling is about 20 percent of what it was. They are no longer hard anymore and are only slightly tender if I lightly squeeze them. I'm going to give them a few days to recover and then I'm going to follow it up with some 40% calcium chloride /grain alcohol injections. 2cc in each testicle should work well for the next round.

Thanks for the progress updates, I'm glad to hear you are doing well.
I was going to mention the recently released SOC V.8 except that Valery beat me to it

I am taking this route and it seems so far to be pretty smooth, although I really haven't started pushing for the orchie yet...
I'm glad you are planning to read through the SOC, Nathan, as it seems to me from what you have posted (note that I am NOT a professional) that you'd probably be able to get them to do the surgery fairly quickly and without needing to do all the injections and so forth...
At least by my reading of the SOC, you'd have a pretty easy time of it since you have enough knowledge to do the informed consent part, and could probably skip the chemical castration part since you effectively are already, and have both a record of past and future 'intent to self harm' by your past use of Androcur and injections, and doing further injections, which is one of the big items mentioned as a reason to do desired surgery sooner rather than later...
It should also be covered by your insurance as presumably the TG center would give you a diagnosis of 'gender dysphoria' and prescribe the surgery as appropriate treatment... It does mean having a 'psych label' of sorts, but with all the privacy rules around health care in general and psych stuff in particular, that shouldn't be a big issue.
Hopefully you are in an area with a good Transgender center... As in all things it is up to you, but I'd suggest reaching out to a TG center and seeing what they say before doing any further injections...
