completing my chemical castration

Hello,Some words to introduce myself and my goals.

I am impotent since 2010 with androcur + tamoxifen. I have no erection except for a few during the night and sometimes when I wake up. My libido is almost zero. I am very happy with the result I have achieved with a completely sexless life.

I am coming back here to complete and improve my condition. I want to get my genitals shrunk as much as possible and then eradicate any night erection and annihilate the remaining libido.

Any advice or suggestions you can give me to help me achieve my goals are welcome.

Laurent.

Welcome to the forums...

A couple of questions to help clarify your goals - no 'wrong' answers, but if you aren't sure, you might want to think about it....

1. Do you want to keep your 'equipment', after shrinking - either testicles, penis or both?

2. How much feminization do you want? Some is pretty inevitable, but some options will give more than others...

3. Have you talked with / are you under the care of medical types about this goal? Do you have access to a Transgender center? (That is the appropriate medical resource even if not transitioning) It is worth noting that the WPATH S.O.C. v. 8 (the 'bible' of care for non-binary folks) has just been released, and is a HUGE improvement over the previous version, with lots of material on our sorts of goals. This means that if you have had bad experiences in the past, trying again may get you a better response as the 'rules' have changed.

You can find a lot of information about what folks have done in the past, but there are definite risks to a lot of the 'Do-it-Yourself' methods, so we generally suggest working with medical experts if possible...

Hi WheelyCurious,

1 At this stage I am not considering surgery, my goal is to shrink the testicles and penis as much as possible.

I would like to achieve some sort of chemical "nullification".

The ideal for me would be to obtain a bilateral orchidectomy and the conservation of a micro penis.

Here in France such a surgery is not possible.

2. I wish to avoid feminization as much as possible.

The most noticeable effects after taking androcur have been a slight growth in my breasts, a little loss of energy, a softer and calmer character. I have not noticed that my hair has become thinner or that my skin has changed. On the other hand, my body odour is much less strong.

These side effects suit me very well.

3 I live in a small provincial town far from the big urban centres. The mentality here is still very conservative. It is difficult or impossible to discuss this with the medical profession. And I don't want to, it's my deepest desires that are personal to me and I don't want to share them with strangers even if they are doctors.

I think I am a balanced and reasonable person. I know what is good for me and what I want to achieve in life. I take time to think and weigh up the pros and cons before making a decision.

That's why I'm here, to exchange, to see the different possibilities to obtain the desired result.

I hope to have answered your questions.

Laurent.

Thanks for the answers...

My journey has been a bit different from yours, but I've experienced about the same results in terms of breast growth and not a lot otherwise. I've had a bit of head hair coming back in my bald spots (but not enough to make them go away) and lost most of my underarm hair... I haven't noticed any change in body odor. I also want to avoid feminizing, but my doctors consider the risk of blood clots to high to use anything but estrogen patches, and I had to argue to get those.

I can understand the reluctance to discuss such personal stuff, but at the same time you need to balance that against medical risks. If nothing else, I'd advise looking at the official medical info sheets on anything you see here, and otherwise doing a lot of investigating for risks. You might also see if there are any online centers that can give you 'virtual' support w/ medical stuff. I know there are some in the US, but I've never used them, and don't know what might be available in France (but I'd be willing to bet you COULD get the surgery you said you desire in Paris or one of the other big cities.) If nothing else, getting a doctor to prescribe any meds can save you a lot of money because it can get the costs covered by your health insurance...

For what it's worth, my experience with the staff at the TG center I'm dealing with is that they are very non-judging and accepting of whatever you tell them. Basically they don't seem to want to dig terribly deep into your desires beyond being sure that you are working from a 'fully informed consent' position (and the new SOC 8 explicitly say that psychotherapy type services are NOT required.) Mostly they are concerned with the medical aspects of what you are trying to do, and making sure it is as low-risk as possible.... Given how long you say you have been on chemical castration, I'd expect that if you find a center that is working with the new SOC, you'd not have a lot of problems getting approved for surgery as you've already more than done the recommended 'test drive'

Hello WheelyCurious,

Thank you for your answer and advice.

In the first instance I plan to stick to my original plan of eliminating the rest of the libido and focus on reducing my testicles as well as my penis.

I hope that chemistry will help me to reach my goals partially or totally.

I do not intend to consult any medical body but hope to find help and advice here on this forum.

I feel quite capable of managing this and accept the risks and side effects.

I need to be able to find the right medication and I will adjust the dosage according to the results I get while monitoring the side effects if they become bothersome.

I was able to manage the andocur (with advice from the community) to complete my partial chemical castration so I think I can achieve my current goals.

Laurent.

It is certainly your choice as to how to handle your objectives.... I've made my suggestions, but it is totally up to you.

There are a few threads on things that some folks have done, I think most recently a long one about using high doses of cimetidine / Tagamet but the results have been extremely varied, w/ some claiming little or no effect, or that it didn't last, while others claimed to have had considerable shrinkage... I haven't tried it, and don't intend to for many reasons... I'd be somewhat surprised if that one was a reliable method.

I'm following the doctor route, so don't have any experience with the various DIY methods discussed, so have no other suggestions.
