Latest update - good news but confusing...

After two months of Lupron shots, and approaching my third shot, I was sort of puzzled by the lack of any sort of effects that I could identify... Mood seems the same, ditto emotions, no physical changes, etc... (no change in sexual function, given that it was already non-existent, wasn't expecting any)

I realize things take time, but per the literature, I should have dropped to near zero T levels after about two weeks, and would have expected to have SOME kind of effect after this much time.

I had gotten a pretty good bit of bleeding after each of the two shots, so I was wondering if the drug had either been flushed out by the bleeding or gone directly into my bloodstream and gotten eliminated quickly instead of sitting in the muscle being slowly absorbed like it is supposed to...

So I contacted the TG center and asked about this - The nurse said it can take as much as three months to do anything, but suggested that I come in and let them watch me do the shot to see if there was an issue with my technique or some other problem. They also wanted to do a blood draw to check the T level...

So the nurse watched me do the shot and said I was doing it all perfectly, no problem. She was a bit surprised by the amount that I bled, but said that it wasn't unreasonable or a problem. She did ask if I'm on blood thinners (I'm not) as she said that the amount I bled was more like patients she'd seen that were. I generally don't have bleeding issues, so it is still a bit of a mystery....

However I can definitely say that the Lupron is doing what it should - I just got the test results back, and I'm at <12ng/dL which I believe is well under castrate level...

So good news on that front. I have an appointment w/ the doc next week to discuss this and plans for next steps....
