At long last I've been approved for a line of credit that will enable me to get an orchiectomy paid for. I've been waiting for this moment for two years. I'm giddy with excitement.

However, Dr Arnkoff's website is now a parked domain. I did see that someone had posted his private cell phone number, but it being "private" gave the impression that it would be rude to text that number. Is he still in business?

I think that number was widely available. He preferred texts. If you have the number, I would send him a txt asking if he was still practicing. Make it vague though, just in case it isn't him, and the number has been reassigned.

I talked to him just a few months ago about a different procedure and he was very much still practicing. Once the connection is established via text, he will typically follow up with a voice phone call to discuss details and make arrangements. Hope things work out for you and congrats on getting what you need done. Keep us informed.

You may want to do a search on folks here that used his services... I have no personal info either way, but I seem to recall some discussions that suggested that he did a good job on simple orchiectomies, but that his results on more involved / cosmetic procedures were less satisfactory...

Based on my experience thus far, I'd suggest checking to see if there are any TG centers in your area that would be willing to work with you on getting your goals... They would probably require some time on chemical castration and possibly some other hoops, but would have the advantage of being local, and potentially covered by your insurance.

He has always just required your informed consent. We chatted on the phone for maybe 10 minutes, before he said he was happy to perform an orchiectomy on me.

I'd avoid Arnkoff for anything but castration these days. His penectomy/nullo results are usually not that good and leave a scarred mess.

Would someone be kind enough to direct me to his (Arnkoff) number or other method of establishing communication?
