Pronoun stuff

Hi folks,
A long time ago (1975) when I was 15, a friend asked me if I was gay. At the time the school rugby captain was fucking me every Tuesday afternoon, and I was having dirty filthy lustful dreams of Sthe school captain. So, after catching up with my heart which had shot up into my mouth at a million miles an hour, I swallowed and sort of leaked out a "yes?"
I didn't die from coming out then, and since then I've thought all that identity stuff was a done deal;
a.) I lust after most of the basketball team, and
b.) have a cock and balls.
a.+b.=Gay Man, yes? Well, until recently they did for me too. So......
Is a person without gender who wants a male partner gay if they once had balls, but don't now? Technically it seems sort of weird to say a eunuch is also homosexual. But if not, then what? Semi-heterosexual? And....
Can my body engage in homo-sex while my mind does not?
I'm curious. Actually, how people identify me is their thing. I mostly look and taste like a male, so the presumption that I'm a man is OK by me. Now I know how I am, that's what matters.
Billy.

Yea I get you
It doesn't even make sense to everyone but...
I guess if you say you're male and so does your special one then you could call yourselves gay/homosexual, if you wanted.
But if for some reason you aren't into that then you're free to say that you're both opposite genders... who is to know?
If gender identity is a psychological phenomenon then they say that it doesn't even have to match your 'downstairsness' neither.
If we're playing with each other we can decide on what the rules of the game are, right? And what it's called and who we are while the game is on...
Maybe I'm the one that's confused but hope you could make sense of it.
Navy Sis.

Haha, precisely matey, defining could benefit from some refining, but might that lead to still more misidentifying?
Let's just not place too much importance on whatiyamwhatiam,it seems so different for everyone.
You're wise, thanks for the chats

I had my cock and balls removed. I still identify as a gay man, as I present male and, well, prefer the company of males.

All in all Valery, I think what you say, that if you are/were a man, and you want/have a man for a partner, then gay is as close as it comes. English is going to need a whole heap of new pronouns in the next few years.
My second question was about internal conflict. Let me unfold it some more.
Until recently, two male bodies were assumed to be two men, and if they were having sex, that would be gay sex. This was assumed because it was thought that mind and body are integrated fully. As we know, mind and body can be rather different. Just because you get one kind of playground or other doesn't mean it would have been your own first choice.
So, can my body be enjoying a mans company be called gay sex, while my mind is doing what? Semi-straight? I don't know. Can me and my dick be doing the same thing (sex with a man), and different things (my cock is being gay, my mind is being eunuch), at the same time?
It's all hypothetical, so don't think about it too much. Just a sort of conundrum. Metaphorically speaking, I have different colour glasses to look through, and I'm just getting used to it.
Billy.

Thanks. I think I understand better what I want to know.
I think largely I'll use similar terminology. I also think I'll fudge it a bit too, and just say I'm gay, and leave the man bit off (as I will in a surgery soon).
There are just too many permutations. For me, as soon as I said the magic spell out loud, "I am not a man", the whole world changed, and I'd like to somehow incorporate that into my everyday existence.

i considered myself a straight male all my life. any thoughts that may appear to conflict with this are due the the chaos i was either born with or had instilled during childhood most likely due to abusive behavior of the adults i lived with. i know i always had a disliking for my male parts. i also never realized i could actually have them removed and always assumed it was never in question a possibility of getting done.
so there i was heterosexual and male and trying to make it work as best as i could. it never did though. trying to live up to my biologicals simply led to going in wrong directions, heart breaking experiences and disappointments over and over. i still always aimed for heterosexuality even when the chaos in my brain forced me in other directions.
in recent years ive allowed myself to realize my preference for femininity which could be as extreme as becoming a woman, but that is mostly not very important. my desire is to be as far from being male as i possibly can be. and in my possible scenarios which include being a woman, i think being a heterosexual woman is the way i need to go.
now that ive been castrated, i consider that i am no longer fully male and that what i am is for the most part, what i consider myself to be. i still have the chromosomes, i still have a penis. but i imagine myself getting full female surgery and then being heterosexual. but im also pretty much old and to me, sexual opportunities are in the past. i dont think my body could support such activities and im ok with that.
ive never wanted gay sex. and though ive never really liked the use of the term eunuch, i do consider myself a eunuch now. i dont have fantasies or desires for sex except for occasion when i see myself in the feminine role. hopefully i will be able to get further surgery to appear female, but that would be just for me. outwardly i believe i will continue to be generally physically male looking (unless i decide to have female hormone therapy - which will change me to a presently unknown degree).
i wont ever consider myself gay even if others might. those people dont really count in my life. so i think (in my roundabout presentation here) that you can and should consider yourself whatever feels right for you. you can have the male parts or not. if you feel male you are male. if you feel female you are female. terminology only helps describe things in the moment so we do need terminology, but most important is to get as close as you can to celebrating your own perception of yourself. by my thinking, a eunuch is gay if the he the person is gay. a eunuch is a woman if she sees becoming a eunuch a step towards being a woman. a eunuch is a man if he just doesnt want the male stuff. and of course a person without the testicles is a eunuch unless he, she or it prefers to not be called eunuch.

The pronoun stuff is so interesting especially with the new neo-English people who say they are progressive are using. Like, Xe, Xim, and Xer.(X sounds like Z)
Guessing that I am old school even though I am only 34 I prefer they/them and he/him is okay when I am around people that don't know me.
Currently I call myself a Trans, non-binary eunuch. I even joke all the time with my husband that we are no longer gay. With all that said, I enjoy the company of men whether I think of myself as one or not and enjoy being gay. Though I'd def Crack the line of, "It's not gay if the balls don't touch." on a straight guy if he'd be up for some third gender action!
