happily castrated yesterday

I'm so elated. I went for my bilateral orchiectomy yesterday. I'm feeling great today. I've not been on any hormones (ever) other than what my own body produces. it truly paid to insist on having it done this way. the other choices are so inappropriate for me. of course I will be monitored for bone density etc. and I may actually consider female hormones if the doctors think I need something.
events leading up to this were quite stressful and I may have been kind of rude or disrespectful to those who tried to be helpful - here and someone at WPATH. I do apologize!!! what can I claim but a lifetime of self harm and damage to those parts, numerous times getting quite dangerous and not able to find a way to safety. just feeling lots of desperation.
but now I'm T free and without a part of me I always felt was an affront to my life. so happy now

Congrats! How's it been after a few days? I didn't notice my hormones run out until about 6 months after surgery. Sending healing vibes! ��

status update: now almost 3 weeks. quite soar and something like a hard lump is inside but Dr says it looks fine. mostly I'm feeling happy. those things just didn't belong. do I feel non masculine? do I feel feminine. I don't know. but I keep awakening to the realization that I don't have testicles anymore because I decided to have them removed and in spite of a system that kept putting roadblocks in my way and saying I was a suicide risk., I found a way to get it done in a medically safe way by a caring doctor. AND FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE I AM HAPPY AND FEELING POSITIVE. Thank you all for the wonderful wishes.
