Hi.

I posted a question here a few months ago about Prostate Health and after one forum user responded with trolling I see that my question-post has been deleted.

Sorry if my life threatening risk of prostate cancer is a burden to EA but I needed some advice.

Wow, so my original questions is deleted and all of the replies.

The question was "I am faced with an overwhelming 100% chance of prostate cancer from both sides of my family, what consequences can I expect from voluntary preventative prostate removal"?

But apparently EA decided that after one troll commented "why so serious?" it warranted delteion of my question and thread.

Sorry but I still need to know. With "certain prostate cancer times two" on one hand and "voluntary prostate removal" on the other, what are the actual medical and lifestyle consequences of prostate removal please?!

P.S. No trolls please, that one f$ckwit already cost me six months.

I think I answered you before. My father, his brother and his nephew have all died of very aggressive pc within about 8 months of first diagnosis. I am getting very close to the ages they were. I have had psa results that have indicated 90% chance of cancer, for the biopsy to be negative. I asked my urologist about just getting a prostatectomy. Females have preventative hysterectomy and mastectomy surgery. I was told it was not an option. After lots of research I could only find one documented case of a man getting a preventative prostatectomy. I contacted surgeons in Thailand, India and Mexico. No one would consider the procedure. That was 4 years ago, so things may have changed. Everyone cited the probability of incontinence and sexual disfunction, but I see hospitals offering techniques that reduce this risk now. The bottom line when I was trying to accomplish this was I needed to have a pc diagnosis and only then would my options be discussed, and prostatectomy was quite far down that list. Good luck with your search, and please let us know how it goes. I am sure there are many men in this position.

Go back and re-read your entire thread the last time you wrote it back in September 2021. Yes, it's still here and wasn't closed. (http://forums.eunuch.org/showthread.php ... te-removal) You were given answers to your question there. You have chosen here to complain that nobody answered you, instead of realizing you were answered but are unaccepting of those answers because they do not match-up with your pre-determined desired course of action.

We're not here to validate your preconceived notions. While the vast majority of us are not doctors, we do try to offer the best advice we can from our personal experience with healthcare related to the male reproductive anatomy.

P.S. No troll cost you anything. Nobody here is responsible for you, only you are responsible for you. So stop your whining and take care of your own problems. Answers were given, choosing not to want to hear those is not our problem.
