BERLIN (AP) — A German electrician went on trial Thursday accused of murder in the death of one man, and mutilating several others by performing illegal operations on their genitals.
The 66-year-old told a regional court in Munich that he performed the procedures at the men’s request.
The defendant, whose name wasn’t released for privacy reasons, claimed he initially offered sexual services on sado-masochistic websites in order to earn money to pay off debts.
Later, the man allegedly expanded his repertoire by performing operations on his kitchen table in the town of Markt Schwaben, telling his victims that he was a trained medical professional, German news agency dpa reported.
The defendant told the court that he castrated, or partially amputated the genitals of, eight men between July 2018 and March 2020. But he denied responsibility for the death of one man, who died several days after the defendant performed a procedure on him.
The dead man’s body was found in a box by police three weeks later.
Prosecutors have charged the defendant with murder for failing to call help in the case of the man who died, and with serious and dangerous bodily harm.
This is another reason why the EA forbids the whole theme of cutters on this site!

I read this as well, very sad news that someone died.
Being a non-binary MtE person in The Netherlands, I almost went to a cutter a couple of years ago, because I saw no legal option to get castrated. Urologists won't help me because of my age and the gender clinics had (and still have) trouble helping people who are non-binary. Now some things have changed and I decided to do it the legal way by going to a gender clinic.
These poor guys had to be desperate and I understand them. It isn't easy to get castrated by a doctor here in Western-Europe.
I wonder if this is a well known cutter or if this is someone else.

Read this article as well. As long as voluntary castration is refused or made difficult by the medical community these cases will continue and more men may die. Strange how in an era of widespread acceptance of the LGBT community the simple procedure of becoming a Eunuch is so damn difficult.

If the well known cutter you're speaking of formerly had a website which is prohibited to be mentioned by name here at EA, then no, this isn't him.
Fingers crossed the Standards of Care for MtE individuals is published early next year, as planned. Though I'm optimistic, in the past it has been delayed at least once I know of.

Just for information, there are legal ways of getting castrated/nullified in Germany. It's not necessarily easy to find the open minded people in the German health system, but it is not impossible. The biggest issue is that you have to pay the whole treatment by yourself what makes it probably too expensive for many people (and makes them look for cutters, sadly). The health insurance doesn't pay anything. This might get better after the ICD-11 will be set active next year, but I wouldn't expect sudden improvement.

I can only agree on your statement. Western Europe being so conservative on this very subject. We can only hope this will change in the future, though I don’t expect it to.
Only options us Europeans have, are going abroad.

That's not necessarily true, I'm the living proof for that.
