Hi, I am Caio, 22 years old and transgender. I choose to DIY castrate myself because I live with my parents and I'm afraid of not being able to take hormones anymore.

I used a 9 inches burdizzo clamp on 2 different days. 5 days ago, I did the right side, leaving the burdizzo closed for 40 seconds. 2 days ago, I did the left side, leaving the burdizzo closed for 30 minutes. Both after injecting lidocaine + epinephrine. I had only a minimal amount of pain after lidocaine wore off. I have a distinct scar on both sides, on the skin and I had some swelling on the skin as well.

In the right side, I couldn't notice any difference regarding the spermatic cords or the testicles. In the left side, the testicle size was reduced to less than a third of what it was before some minutes after the burdizzo was closed. It only returned to normal size 10 minutes after the burdizzo was opened.

Now both testicles and spermatic cords have normal size and normal sensitiveness. I would like to ask some questions.

Are 30 minutes without blood really enough to cause tissue death on the testicles?

Is the absence of pain a sign that it won't work?

What signs should I expect if the burdizzo worked?

Should I try it again leaving it more time closed? How much time?
