I have a question for the group. I have a difficult time keeping all of the various HRT meds straight. You all seem to have a great handle on them all!

After 7yrs of Testosterone injections, of which I hated EVERY stick, I finally met with an Endo last year. As of Nov ‘20 I stopped the T completely. Once it was confirmed that my lil bits arent producing any T on their own, I started Estradiol (.1 mg/day) patch.

In Dec I noticed increasing joint pain and tiredness. This has continued even with the Estradiol. My initial question is, (Im sure there will be others) if I ask to increase the E level, will these aches and exhaustion fade?

My next Endo appt is next month, but I have a difficult time getting answers in between visits.

Based solely on your age in your profile and my age of 64, as was put to me when I inquired about increase from my 1 mg per daily oral tablet E, my doctor advised against it because of an increased risk of blood clots because of age. The doctor said this is based on women post-menopause, as men on E around that age have not been studied and documented for similar results. I stayed at the 1 mg per day. You might consider oral or injections to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the reply. She did mention a concern for blood clots. Were you on 1mg or .1mg? Also, Did you experience joint pain and deep fatigue?

The only side effect, which I expected and experienced from nearly the start of taking E, was the tenderness and soreness of my breast and very sensitive nipples with gradual breast, nipple, and areola enlargement. At times I also experienced some itching, which I understand was a result of the skin stretching with the enlargement growth.
