I’m currently on 50mg twice daily to lower sex drive and as a trial castration. The scrip for cypro is not via my regular doctor. My question is are anti-androgens like cyproterone detected in standard testosterone blood tests or will the test simply show low T.

As far as I am aware, the usual tests for testosterone don't look for other chemicals, and would likely require a separate sample.

This is true the tests only look for Testosterone but in my case they also looked for Cholesterol after I did a testosterone test. I took only 100 mg Androcur for 3 days and the level measured was very low. The Urologist said it must have been a measurement mistake since the Cholesterol was normal. So I guess Androcur lowers testosterone quickly but it takes longer to notice it. After 3 days I noticed not much difference.

the only thing that Testosterone test does, is, it measures Testosterone. Nothing else. Probably abmormally low T will gain attention by a doc.

Thanks for responses. I’ll just feign surprise and say I’ve seldom felt better.
