I need advice about elastration

I need to be castrated. For years my cock has ruled my head and I want it to stop. I want my desire for penetrative sex to cease and to be free to focus on other things. (I assuming that I could still feel pleasure through stimulation of my prostate.)
I live in the UK and I suspect it would take years to achieve an elective castration in a hospital. I've already spent years agonising over this and I don't want to waste any more time. I've been giving some thought to elastration as an option. It would be quick and effective, though what I read is sometimes contradictory.
Is there anybody on this site who would be willing to give me some advice on the risks, mainly the (duration of) the pain and problems removing the dead scrotum. I have read that it takes just one hour of banding for the testicles to die and that the scrotum will wither and "fall off" within weeks. Is it really that easy? What are the infection risks of a dead scrotum hanging between my legs for weeks? I'm not looking for scare stories, but a description of the what happens in the majority of cases.
Please help.

Why don't you look for horror stories? Your idea is a good way to end up in a horror story. Castration through elastration is life-threatening. Forget about it quickly and look for a legal route to surgical castration if you want to be castrated in a safe way. Unfortunately, I don't know how this can be achieved in the UK, as I don't know the local health system.
Please stay safe and don't do stupid things!

One-hour? LOL LOL LOL LOL No, it would take more than 1-hour. However, my advice is don't do it the ways you're contemplating. Also, do not take what you see online by many folks as a how-to go about doing this, unless they are pointing you to legitimate medical resources. Some have done what you say you wish to do, many have ended up in the hospital doing it.
From your own message it is clear to me you're not quite ready for this. You need to look into it a LOT further as it seems you're getting ready to take action and do things to your body based on things that are clearly fantasies of others and not a good idea.
Take a deep breath, stand back, and reexamine what it is you're contemplating doing to yourself. Wanting to be castrated is fine, that's not what I'm talking about, I'm simply talking about the method you're seeking to achieve that goal.

You’d be far better off to do Calcium Chloride injections. Not risk free but WAY better than elastration. There is a great thread about it here

Don't do it! There is a group in the UK called genderGp. They will prescribe T blockers so you can become chemically castrated. If that feels right for you after a year of living with it, save your pennies, book a holiday to the USA, or any other country with a legitimate medical practioner offering the procedure and chop them off.

They have a great website with lots of information and help.
Let us know how you get on.

PatrickG,
Your desire for castration is understandable. However, only a doctor. One that went to medical school, graduated and now has a license to do surgery should castrate you.
Elastrators are meant to be used on lambs and calfs - not full grown humans. The outcome would be anything from major surgery to find the blood vessels and ensure they were sealed off to death.

Hi Patrick,
If your goal is to reduce libido, I have found that vitex and peppermint tea have worked for me.
Vitex:
Vitex (aka “chaste berry”) is an herb that was used by medieval monks to reduce libido. It can be found in health food stores and is usually sold in the women’s health section. If you would like to try Vitex, I recommend using a high quality brand like Gaia. The capsules sold by Gaia contain a liquid. I have found the lower quality brands that use a powder in their capsules to be less effective. For me, vitex took 3 or 4 days to take effect. When it begins working, I tend to use vitex for about one or two weeks, and then I begin to have difficulty sleeping and experience brain fog. When I begin to experience brain fog, I stop using vitex until my libido begins to increase again.

Peppermint Tea:
Peppermint tea has been scientifically proven to reduce testosterone. I usually have one cup of peppermint tea in the morning with breakfast and one or two in the evening after diner. I find that if I am experiencing a strong libido, it starts to subside 30 to 45 minutes after a cup of peppermint tea. Peppermint tea tends to only have a mild effect on its own. Vitex is more powerful, but takes days to produce a noticeable effect.

Overall, I have found that using both vitex and peppermint tea is an affordable solution that accomplishes my goals. I might try t blockers or a surgical solution in the future. But, for now, vitex and peppermint tea are working for me. I am not a doctor and I do not know the full health risks associated with vitex and peppermint tea, so, use at your own risk. I think I have very slight gynecomastia that goes away after a few weeks of not using vitex.
I wish you the best of luck.
Regards,
Dagrynne

Thanks to the several respondents. It looks clear that there is little support for elastration, and that is what I was really trying to determine, whether elastration was a viable or just so much hot air.

That's interesting. Thanks. I took a quick look at the site and it does seem to be mainly about gender transitioning, whereas of course that is not quite what I'm after. I don't want to live as a female, and I don't want female genitalia, I just want to continue to live as a male with zero capacity for penetrative sex. I'll contact them and see whether that's something they can help me with.
Thanks again.

I used Plume here in the USA. They seem very similar. They are pitched at the transgender community, but the Dr I spoke to and was prescribed by, was very understanding and willing to help. I would hope genderGP will be the same. Please let us know how it goes. Your experience will be invaluable to many on a similar path.
