There was one of those useless articles on Yahoo or MSN which listed state by state the best and worst town to retire to (it is OK to end a sentence about Pahrump with a preposition). For Nevada, the worst was Carson City. While CC is being Californicated by growth, it still has a little of the town that I remember when it had one stop light. Anyway, Carson City blows the hell out of Pahrump for 'liveability,' but Pahrump has generally 25% lower cost of housing and annual expenditures and double the number of people over 65. So, when you reach cheap old farthood, move to Pahrump. See you there (not).
