Scheduling a consultation

I'm scheduling a consultation with Dr. Keelee MacPhee in North Carolina. The closest date for a consult is August. In all my years of wanting an orchiectomy, I've never gotten as close as a consult. I definitely have a lot of thoughts on this but I'm trying to break it down one step at a time. Schedule the consult, and then I will work on the next steps after that. If I am ready, I will proceed, if not, at least I finally allowed myself a consultation.

Congrats on taking this step.
One important suggestion is to bring your questions in writing. Keep the questions to about 10 or so and make them one sentence. You can always expand on the topic if needed. Having the questions in writing will keep you from forgetting. Plus, the doctor will appreciate it.
Consider what you want regarding HRT, sperm storage, BID, etc.
Also, remember, the doctor is not there to judge.

Congratulations on taking this step. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Keelee Macphee and found her to be extremely knowledgeable and personable- very approachable and down to earth. I ended up having my orchiectomy with Marc Arnkoff only because he was more convenient. However, I’m planning to go with Keelee Macphee for a vaginoplasty.
