A trip back thru SW NV fell together at the last minute. Every small restaurant is someone's dream and it breaks my heart to see them closed. But on this trip a couple were open Gemma's in Beatty and the Dinky Diner in Goldfield. Added bonus is that topping Goldfield Summit the scan stopped at Radio Goldfield KGFN 89.1 and kgfn.org. KGFN is distinctive and there is no doubt when the radio finds it. I am trying to eat at those small restaurants if possible. Plus I bought a disc at the Dinky Dinner for 'Tony's Place' a story of sex, murder and bootleg root beer in Goldfield

Gave me a chance to catch up on Pahrump. Eric Trump passed thru to energize the base It was at a winery (wink) which subsequently was fined $8,501 for public safety violations (facial coverings, social distancing , etc.) and the audio-visual provider was fined another $6,073. (No political posts please). Speaking of social distancing, I see the bordello signs at the turnoff to Pahrump have been taken down.

I love the little diners, too. Place I work has been giving us gift certificates for near-by non-chain restaurants since the Covid rules started making it hard for them to turn a profit, and I've been ordering take-out once a week. I can afford it (place I work only suffered for the first 2 months of Covid; since then, business has rebounded and then some).
