This question is for those who have had to surgical castration:

Have others in your life noticed and commented about changes in your appearance since your orchiectomy? I joined the ranks in March and have had people comment about my face looking more youthful. I also tend to get frequent compliments about my appearance in general. I sometimes wonder if my secret is really a secret if that makes any sense- obviously it is as I’m not in the habit of wearing my birthday suit in public. Still, I get this feeling others know something is up. Have any of you experienced this feeling?

Those things haven't happened to me. Although I've been told many times that I don't look as old as I am, even before the orchi. Often people judge my age to be 15 to 8 years younger. You wouldn't believe how many times I've had to show my drivers license to prove to them my actual age.

I might as well be wearing my birthday suit in public.

I appear as I am dressed in basically anything.

Even before I was nullified, I didn't have a bulge anymore.

Although I was only chemically castrated, one woman noticed that I looked more happy while I was chemcastrated, and next year when T was fully back commented that I do not look as happy as last year anymore. Strange. Me myself noticed that my face turned more clear and bright during castration. Mostly because of vanished mild acne I think

After a few years without balls or TRT my wife said: "You have boobs". All my friends know I've been castrated but I don't recall any comments on my appearance other than: "You've put on some weight".

Do you think it might be down to hormone therapy?

A lot of guys here are on some form of HRT and I am wondering if this plays a part in this.

With significantly diminished testosterone a castrated man develops "estrogen dominance", partly due to as what little testosterone made in the adrenal glands converts to estrogen. T replacement has much the same affect in the conversion process.

So, even without HRT boob growth can and often does happen in Eunuchs. Now, when you go and add estrogen in the form of estradiol the growth is accelerated as it has done in my case. Since TRT and my body do not play well together I chose to go the estrogen route knowing full well I'd develop larger breasts in exchange for the benefits of the hormone. In life you seldom get something for nothing.

Many intact males can also be affected by gynecomastia both in their teens as well as later in life and it causes distress in many of those afflicted. As for me I keep a positive attitude and try and accept my body (except the fat belly) as it evolves.

So you think breast growth is inevitable? I had gynecomastia at 11. As a very skinny little boy in an English boarding school, suddenly growing the breasts of pubescent girl was rather distressing. It never really went away, they still look like a pubescent girls chest. Otherwise I am still skinny and struggle to keep weight on. I would not want them to grow any larger.
