How long should someone wait to fly after they have had castration surgery.
For example if someone flies into town on day 1
Has the procedure the next morning on day 2.
Can they fly out again on day 3 or is better to wait for day 4, 5.....

Everyone is different so it is really hard to answer this. Also, flying itself is really not much of strenuous activity but walking and standing around can be. So if you aren't walking much then there really isn't anything stopping you from flying right away. However if you anticipate walking around or standing a lot, perhaps you want to hold off a little. Course, there are those little carts too.

When I spoke to Dr. A he wanted me there 24hrs before surgery either if I drove to Detroit or flew into DTW. He wanted 24hrs after but preferred 48 after. He was concerned about DVT he said. I do know guys have had the surgery and flown out that afternoon

I flew in on a Sunday, the day before (short 1 hr. flight), Dr. castrated me next day, Monday, then had post-op appt. on Tues., and flew back on Wed.

I went to work the day after my bilateral orci. I was told to walk and not sit too long. I can’t imagine a relatively short flight 24 hours after surgery would be a problem but 48 would probably be safer. It’s really a pretty minor surgery on the scale of surgeries.

Also depends on the flight and the type of procedure. I had a bilateral inguinal orchiectomy, and flew home on day OP+6 after the surgery, a three-hop 14-hour trip, and the last four hours (at least) were not really pleaseant.

We're all different. I was able to walk about a km to supper a few hours post orchiectomy. The next day I drove 200km to home and then went to work the following day. I don't advise any of these early activities, but some can and do it. It is considered a minor surgery. You just have to know yourself.
