Stopping at eunuch

It seems like a lot of eunuchs who don’t identify as trans feminine end up taking the next step and going full nullo. Any eunuchs here who got castrated and are happy to leave it at that?

I am castrated and will go no further. Saying that, I do have to admit that I think of going full nullo every once in a while. However there is zero chance of that ever happening.

My life is so much better since my nuts were removed on Jan 7, 2019 that going nullo would not enhance my life any so why got to the expense.

I'm cool with stopping at eunuch .... I like getting off with my schlong too much to ever have it removed.

Yes, I thought the same thing but look at me now. ;)

There is one nullo I know of that went full nullo without beginning with castration, he seems very happy with his decision to become nullo without experiencing castration prior.

Perhaps Jesus A. can chime in on this one, but I know he has a study from somewhere indicating that many MtF persons stopped at the eunuch phase and didn't fully transition, citing that they had also gone far enough.

To follow up on Paolo’s suggestion, in the first survey that we did of the Eunuch Archive community, there were over 3000 responses. Among them were five people who had thought that they were Male-to-Female. They went through the full psychiatric evaluation and then through full surgery, including neovagina and breast implants. Only after getting to the other side did they determine that, while they were not male, they were not female either. They felt more comfortable identifying as eunuch and presenting publicly as androgynous or male.

A survey of over 1000 individuals in the Netherlands who went through the necessary evaluation to be approved for Male-to-Female transgender surgery found that 24% stopped their transition once they were castrated, satisfied that they had achieved their desired goal at that point. They were approved for further surgery, but did not want it. Unfortunately, the researchers did not follow up on them, so we know little more than their number.

There are confounding factors when it comes to MtF trans women. Too many doctors want to cut estrogen levels to almost post menopausal levels after orchidectomy and or full SRS. Many trans women may have low or no libido and no partner so the pain and expense to go further may not seem worth it.

Many trans women have to do sex work to survive and their best selling point is that they have a female body with a penis. Without a penis a trans sex worker is just another woman selling her body and there is a lot of beautiful, curvey competition.

And many trans women and their partners enjoy/prefer her keeping her penis. I’d love to get rid of mine but right now my partner prefers a pole than a hole.

What I've noticed is now that penectomy is more readily available than it has been in the past, those who have always desired full nullification go straight to it, no stopping at castration and living that way for a while first. When I started to change my body, I got castrated first... I would have loved to have done it all in one surgery, but it simply wasn't an option at the time.

After I was able to achieve penectomy and complete my nullification, it seems the floodgates opened for others to just skip over castration. I do not personally know any recent nullos, who were intact prior to 2015, who have had castration first, then nullification, though I'll admit there may be some eunuchs who became so after that date, now considering getting a penectomy, but not yet scheduled. All the guys I've known as intact from that time who made the change, took it all off in one surgery. Since 2015, it also seems about 1/3 to 1/2 of those who are having some sort of genital reduction (my estimate, not scientific) are opting to become nullos, while the balance get castrated. This is a significant change from years prior, where nearly ALL men having a something removed, only had their testicles taken.

Again, those are my own personal observations. I think what's happened is in the past 5 years penectomy has become more available so wannabe nullos no longer have to settle for castration, as I initially did. They can now opt for a safe, sane, and surgeon performed nullification instead. I personally know five men (whom I've met in person) who recently went to whole way in one surgery, and all five are very happy with their decision and result.
