There is a motel-restaurant-bar on the east side of Salome, AZ. Back about 1980 they used two 4' X 8' plywood sheets to make a big sign on the roof that said 'COCKTAILS.' The right half blew down.

At night driving down I-80 as you come up on Battle Mountain, Nevada the lighted sign for the Shell gas station stands out. It stood out even more when the lighting for the 'S' is out. Honesty in advertising.

I always enjoyed the sign writings on the old Top Gear. When they opened a door on the vehicle, their would be some childishly displayed rude word.
