Mental effets of castration - scientific explanation and studies

It makes me wonder that so far I haven't fond any complex scientific materials regarding castration, that would describe all the complexities in hormones, physical and mental changes that would occur and why. All the knowledge I have is like a puzzle that has been put together from pieces of various sources, where some pieces do not fit well and some are missing. Generally the knowledge is superficial even among doctors. The seem to know only observable effects, but they do not know underlieing mechanisms very well. May be only very few specialized doctors know more, but I sispect that they do not have the whole picture again. It is my impression.
Although there hundreds of thousands of castrated men in US only and probably millions in the world, it seem to be that physiological and psychological changes are not studied very well. Especially why they happen. Like I still haven't seen any good explanation why castration might induce insomnia. Why? My own search points to possible relation to corticosteroids and adrenal glands. Somehow. But I am not a scientist or a doctor.
Or am I wrong? I think on this site, there should be such a scientific material available that is put together by scientist and doctors, not by experimentators like me who is trying to guess why things happen. Is it possible to find any scientist interested in such topic?

I hate to admit but if I were actually castrated, like lost everything (so nullo), I know Id have to become gay. I have a love and hate relationship with my junk, but mostly I love messing with it. If it were ever gone Id miss having it. I feel like mentally Id miss it very much and probably have to be in a gay relationship just so Id still have one to mess around with.
I dont know if any of that makes sense. But I think Id be mentally lost without a big cock, and a set of balls, at my disposal for experimenting, entertainment and to pass time. Id have to find a dude as hung and freak as me.

I'm guessing it's because there are more pressing issues in the medical field that require researching. And that is where the money is directed to. Maybe with more acceptance and increasing numbers of people as transgender, and them seeking treatment, there will be an increased focus on the effects of castration.

It is not just castration. About a year and a half ago I woke up and could only crawl in horrible pain to the bathroom. That began a long journey beginning with the family practitioners and thru physical therapy, accupuncture, naturopathy, masssage, neurology, etc. It has been a huge time and money drain. What I learned is that the medical system full of educated geniuses (if you don't believe, just ask one) flubs the simplest referral. I had one nationally known clinic (actually quite good) call me back and tell me they couldn't see me because they didn't have room. I asked what the hell that meant. This isn't high school and they are not the popular kids table. It turned our that somebody had mis-entered something and once they corrected that, I was in. I was kind of surprised because I have heard stories for decades of somebody who sneezed as they stepped of a sidewalk and never walked again or a truck driver given a different truck having to be helped out at the end of the day and not driving again until surgery. To me sciatica is more common than castration and you still have to find your own way thru the maze.

I would look into Richard Wassersug. He has many studies on androgen deprivation and castration. Good luck
