1st month as a Eunuch
This past Saturday, Ive hit the four week mark since joining the ranks. I must say, its been the one happy aspect of my life in the past month. My first day back at work( 3 days post op) was also the start of the COVID hysteria ramping up and its been a miserable time since then. I can only imagine how miserable Id be had I not have had the one silver lining- My freedom from the two dangling T spawners. My recovery has been perfectly smooth without a single complication or issue. The dissolvable stitches are just about gone and Im enjoying the ability to cross my legs without any discomfort.
I promise to post a more in-depth timeline of my journey when I have more time on my hands- When things are back to normal at work and home.
Thank you all for the information, inspiration and support- Love you,
-E-

Congratulations on your first month as a real eunuch. We pre-eunuchs look forward to your in depth timelines and eventual joining the ranks of the real eunuch army.

Hey,
Congratulations. You said no complications. Can you give us a general idea of how sore you were, bruises, etc?

Congratulations on a problem free healing, and your ultimate castration. No matter what is happening around us, know that things will keep getting better with each day as you settle into the eunuch lifestyle. I was castrated at 76, a personal choice, and I thought I was a happy person. It only goes to show you how much I knew. Since my nuts came off, I've never been happier in my life. How I wish I could have gotten castrated when I was 20. Enjoy the ride.

I am happy for you. Welcome, friend. You are loved here
Now the hormonal changes are well underway for you. Have you felt any emotional differences yet?

Re: 1st month as a Eunuch
Hey,
I had barely any soreness at all- I did take the pain meds like clockwork the first handful of days which I’m sure accounted for the lack of pain. I was also neurotic about keeping the area iced the first three days which kept the swelling very much at bay. I had no bruising to speak of. The only bit of discomfort, really has been the periodic itch sensation of the sutures which I still get, very faintly- I’ll be happy when those are completely dissolved/out.

Thanks- As for hormonal changes, I was on Androcur for a few months prior to surgery, so I was already at castrate levels- Had already experienced the mood/feeling changes. It’s nice to know they are now permanent without the need for anti-androgens.

Re: 1st month as a Eunuch
Hey,
I woke up the next morning after my castration and had a hematoma about the size of a big cantaloupe. It popped the stitches on both sides. It took several months to go down to normal and finally the right side closed and healed. The left side is still trying to close and after removing a loose stitch a couple months ago, it's finally healing. I was never sore after castration, and don't really consider the hematoma to be a complication. To me complications are when you end up in the ER.
