In the last week my body and mind has started to significantly react to my now low-T levels.
I know I need to be patient and stay well during this time, I am just curious what others experience has been of the emotional turmoil after castration/TRT? How long on average it took for the negative effects to pass? What did you do to help you through it? What was the experience after the emotional turmoil had passed?
Today was hard with

involved. Fortunately my partner was really good at being there to comfort and listen to me. I can't wait for this to pass and have peace.
I love you all :hearthrob

Last time it took about a month for me to start to feel little better. May be it takes longer to feel even more better, but it never gets as good as on hormones. Still yor mileage will wary. As with low testosterone dopamine production drops too, you will notice that. If it gets real hard, you can start to use Paxil and similar mood modifying drugs

I remember being in a good place after my first T injection in 2018; my T was about 1/3 of my pre-castration amount. If this does not work out, I can either go on a low dose like aforementioned, or take a low dose of estrogen I guess.
Though, I would rather go without any hormones or mood meds. I have started to have positive feelings (to make friends, more humility, more empathy, feeling at ease with everything, etc) too, which I hope increase over the next few weeks.

Try to avoid using any of the anti depression medications, those can be poison for men. Because they cause far too many suicides among military men and cops.

I was on the max amount for sertraline of 200mg a day before. It made me worse at first, helped me for a few months, then stopped working much. I stopped it then.
I hope to never take such meds again.

It gets better after a month and continues to get better. I've been testosterone free for 4 months now and am the happiest I've been in my entire life. Watch your calcium and Vitamin D intake to put off getting osteoporosis it can happen in as short as a year if you don't keep up on it. Good luck and I hope that I was helpful

Duly noted. I have felt much much better a few hours ago. I have been able to get on with things. Strange how quickly I've uplifted after such a down phase over the last few days. But I expect I will have a few more dips before I snap into overall improved normality.
As soon as this virus lockdown passes in a few weeks, I will see an endocrinologist to make sure I get the right supplement prescriptions.

I went into a funk after my castration, depression, loss of energy, loss of interest in doing anything in life, emotional breakdowns over nothing, and started gaining weight. Physically, I developed anemia and osteopenia. Now, my endocronologist put me on a low dose testosterone plus an osteopenia drug. Everything seems to have improved greatly. Still a bit difficulty concentrating. But generally feeling quite good.
