• Sex Dreams during Chemical Castration?

I am now over 7 weeks into my chemical castration journey. You can read about it in my blog posts if you'd like. Over the past couple weeks, I've started having very vivant sex dreams - not nightly, but several over the past two weeks. This is unusual for me. I can't remember the last time I had a sex-based dream prior to the DP injections, so this is a new development. I'm curious if anyone out there has any insight into this, ie: why this is happening, is it a normal progression, will it continue, etc. Thanks in advance for any help or insight into this.

You might be having changes in your sleep that allow you to remember sexual dreams that you were already having in the past. You might have previously slept deeply though your sexual dreams and could not remember them after you woke up. Most people cannot remember dreams unless you wake up during the dream. The vast majority of multiple dreams people have are slept through and cannot be remembered later.

Also, sexual function is more than likely on your mind now you are going through castration. We tend to take waking thoughts into our sleep and into our dreams to process them. There is a very sound reason you may be told "to sleep on it" when a big decision is required in life.

Thank you for the responses! I have read that there is a possibility that T levels will spike before falling off during chemical castration and wonder if this could be contributing to it, also. Funny, the last couple dreams have centered around my wife and a couple of our employees...both dreams were quite "hot."

That is when you use a GNRH (?) such as goserelin or triptorelin, which is why Androcur or bicalutamide is often given for a few weeks before starting on those drugs, especially if the reason is to fight prostate cancer. I was on DP on and off for a while a few years ago and never had any sexual dreams and while it was at its peak I had next to no sexual urges at all. I don't remember ever having a wet dream in my life.

It's hard to imagine that you could get a T spike seven weeks after starting DP.

Could be that one of his vials was dodgy; there is a lot of fake or at least weak DP on the black market.

True, and that's one of the reasons it was so surprising. At this point, I almost never think about sex and am never horny, and the dreams have effectively stopped.

They should taper off over time. Just be patient. Nothing happens overnight. Remember that you are going thru a transition to a eunuch. The transition is both physical and mental. Hang in there and you will get positive results.
