Missing a hard penis

For years before I was castrated I suffered from erectile dysfunction. I could get a modest erection and yet not keep it. Not much changed after loosing my testicles and although I could never get hard enough for penetration I could manage enough to masturbate when the mood struck. Viagra was a complete waste of money.
Ceasing testosterone didn't have much effect on my modest abilities in the penile department, until about a year ago when things started to further deteriorate. Now I can't even get partially hard, but one benefit of being a Eunuch is that it really didn't bother me that much.
Now I'm hearing adds on the radio for a new non-invasive procedure using sound waves to restore erections. They claim virtually 100% success. So, I have made an appointment for the initial consultation and treatment. They claim I'll see improvement after the first session. What the hell? It may be a waste of hundreds of dollars or maybe not.
Anyone else had this type of treatment? We'll see if I have fallen for a scam or if my ever shrinking penis comes back to life.

I've not heard of it, but sounds interesting. I would be appreciative of hearing more about your experience with it. I'm in the same boat.

I can't find anything like that on NPR web site.

Well..... my initial consult and first treatment have not engendered much confidence that my money will be well spent.

Did your castrating dr give you the usual talk about the penis implants available to men and how they work ?
My dr explained testosterone replacement, erection pills, artificial testicle implants, and the main 2 types of penile implants to simulate erections, the semi rigid implants and inflatable penis implants.
The semi rigid implants are bendable penis shaft implants that you bend up simulate an erection for sexual use and you bend down to look partially flaccid. This stays the same size and semi hard at all times. It would help with maintaining a constantly larger penis size in both length and width to address your shrinking penis due to lack of erections. You would permanently gain some penis length and width from a semi rigid implant. It would be larger than your past natural flaccid size, but smaller than your past maximum natural erect size.
The inflatable erection implants would increase your flaccid penis size from being shrunken by impotence to a partial size increase from the inflatable chambers that are implanted inside the penis to replace the natural erection chambers and tissues that no longer erect. The inflatable erection devices seem to produce a firmer erection than the semi rigid implants. And when deflated, the inflatable implants get softer and smaller in flaccid use than the semi rigid implants that only bend up for erection and down for flaccid, but remain the same size and firmness the whole time.
The inflatable penis implants have more working parts that can malfunction. And they seem to need repairs or replacement over years of use. The semi rigid implants seem simple and less likely to malfunction.
The biggest drawbacks to penis implants are being irreversable because the natural penis erection chambers and tissues are cut out to make room for putting the implants inside the penis shaft. And the loss of maximum penis erection size that implants can not match. The implants can only provide smaller erection sizes in length and width than a man had from his maximum natural erection size.

No, just the pros and cons of TRT. No way would I consider an implant and my brief experience with TRT was unsatisfactory (my hematocrit shot through the roof). Now two days after the "shock" treatment and the initial swelling has gone down. I'm seeing some small improvement in flaccid size and yet nothing resembling an erection. As these treatments are $500 a pop I am only going to try three and if there is no sign of improvement cut my losses and just live with it. The nice thing about being a Eunuch is that, although I still enjoy the intimacy of sexual contact, I'm not overly distressed with a non functioning penis. Now if I was on TRT it would be different.
Now that said...…. not all castrated men loose all interest in sex. Some do while others remain as sexually active as before even without TRT. I am in the 20% of castrated men who still enjoy sex and my ED is not directly related to the reduction of testosterone. Ashamed to say it's more the fault of 20 plus years of smoking leading to arteriosclerosis.

A quick update a week after "shock therapy". My initial trepidations about being a waste of money may proved unfounded. Although not anywhere near a rock hard penis, it has emerged from it's "turtle shell" and looks, hangs and feels better. Two more treatments and we'll see if years of increading degrees of ED have ended.
