I was a regular for quite awhile but left to do my own thing. It worked for awhile but now Im back where I was with the difference of having been castrated. Due to not being able to function at a level I needed to without HRT I went on it and am back to being the old me again. My GP doesnt really get the wanting low T.

Welcome home. The good news is that rub on generic testosterone gel is now on the market. There are two generic versions of Androgel out there. One is made by the same company as Androgel and is still expensive.

The other is made by Perrigo and is about 1/8th the cost of the brand name Androgel.

GoodRx has a coupon for about $108 for three bottles (each bottle has 60 pumps which is a moths supply for most men who use 2 pumps a day). If you get a GoodRx coupon for testosterone gel 1.62% and the pharmacist says the price is wrong to make sure they are looking for the gel made by Perrigo.

I had a friend go through this recently and as soon as he mentioned the manufacturers' name, the pharmacy found the gel at $108 for three months supply.

You are giving out lots of very helpful info. Such as this cost of T replacement that any man or eunuch needs to know. I m guessing its still by prescription only, under the false excuse of keeping men from abusing it, even if any athlete or bodybuilder from high school on up can get ahold of it from unconfirmed sources and purity by non prescription black market methods in the US ?

Did you find the GoodRx coupon? Once we found out who made it, it was a great price.

Doctors Rx Testosterone and check levels in the blood and the liver. If levels are too high bad on the prostate and if liver goes south bad on the whole body. I don't think the liver is one of the optional bits like gallbladder, appendix or foreskin.

It is not just prescription only, but because of anabolic steroid abuse, it is also a schedule III controlled substance with all the hassle that entails.

If the 1.62% (20.25mg) is more than you want, there is another testosterone pump that delivers only 10mg per pump. It is FORTESTA and comes in a 60 g pump for 120 metered pump actuations. I am on it and it works well for me. Anyone wanting low T might investigate this product. It is mfd by Pharbil WaltropGmbH for Endo Pharmacauticals,, Inc in Malvern PA. This is considered a generic version by my insurance.
