Ok, so I have finally ordered and received my first depo provera shots. I really want to do a trial run as to what it would be like to eliminate my t hangers. I dislike the fact that I focus to much of my time on sex and porn. I have 6 shots of 150mg. Go those of you that have tried this, how often do I take the shot and is the butt the best place for it? How long on depo until it’s irreversible? I’ll be taking the first one this weekend (even tough it’s tough for me to wait). Any other recommendations to give a first timer? Thanks in advance!

Some think you should take 2 shots initially but I tend to think 1 to start, another in 2-3 weeks, then one once a month after that. Just put in your calendar for every 30 days. Depending how your body reacts, you should start to notice changes in 2-4 weeks. I noticed reduced T in about 3 weeks and things dropped very low by 6 weeks.

The Depo Provera shots are IM (Intramuscular) so they go into any muscle. They DO NOT go into the balls. You can put in anywhere an IM injection can go. Typically the glutes are considered best but can go into the thigh or even the upper arm but most don't use those locations because you may notice some soreness for a few days. Depo means it is a "deposit" of medication so it will stay in your muscle and be drawn off slowly into your bloodstream. As a female contraceptive it lasts for 13 weeks but chemical castration typically doesn't work that way and once a month is the norm.

As for being permanent, you will find as many opinions as nobody knows for sure and is dependent on your body. I always heard 18-24 months in my research but others will argue 6 months. I did 3 6 month trials many years ago and I can assure you things came back to normal in the same timeframe as it took to go low. Best advice is... if you are starting the chem cast route, be prepared that it COULD become permanent no matter what timeframe you believe.

I can tell you that, from the other side, it's terrific to be free from any interest in porn. I just tried viewing a porn video and, while it was mildly amusing, I shut it down in only a few moments. It's great having the wasted time back.

So Depo has worked great for me. I no longer get erections, my focus at work and home has been much better now that I don’t think about sex very much. I must admit it was a little difficult at first when I still wanted to get off, but my penis wouldn’t function properly. This was for a short period though.
