Question about T replacement effects

I am hoping someone can detail their experience with T replacement. I am cis male considering castration. I still want to maintain a sex drive and do not want to achieve any feminization. I am wondering what kind of effects, particularly negative, that might be experienced with T replacement.
I have spent a lot of time and money trying to control my body hair through laser and electrolysis and am wondering if taking T would cause body hair growth. I have also read, but not confirmed, that T can cause accelerated male pattern baldness. I am in my mid 30's if that is useful to know.

I don't know about the hair but I'm on trt and after castration supplemental testosterone isn't the same as the real thing. yes it does work but you feel different. after castration my orgasms changed I lost the feeling of my balls being pulled up and the feeling of impending orgasm and the orgasm feels different I can't really tell you exactly how but it's definitely not the same. I do last longer now then before. I've not lost any muscle and only gained 10 lbs no breast growth and I'm happy with the results. I go to an endocrinologist for my TRT and take testosterone injections every week and also take anastrozole for estrogen conversion of the testosterone my levels are total in the 1100's ng range and free is in the 245 ng range this should keep you very horny and able to perform if you want to have a lowered libido you can discuss it with your endocrinologist and Taylor your dosage. for the hair you can use propecia for male patern baldness your pc should be able to give you it

Using exogenous testosterone (e.g., Androgel, testaderm, etc.)as well as injected, will cause an increase in secondary hair growth in a great many people. I never had any chest hair before; now it is a carpet (which I do not like). As far as maintaining a sex drive, while you are taking HRT, you will likely (but not always) maintain your libido or some part of it. One thing that has been my experience, while maintaining a healthy libido, after a few years I pretty much lost erective capacity. If I take some time and work it, I can get it up; but I have to keep up the work or I lose it fairly quick. As far as orgasm is concerned, your climax and ejaculation originates in the prostate, and that is what produces about 97% of semen in most cases anyway. And a prostate climax is very different than one controlled by your testes, and for me is far better than the original.

Hi, i have been castrated for about 6 years now and have used 4 to 6 pumps daily of testogel which seems to put me back pre castrated state and using testogel i can control how much i use and how i feel go without to have have that eunuch calm or use enough to to keep normal testosterone levels.
the only trouble i was getting a couple of months ago is i was having real bad night sweats, the doctor advise me to up my dose to 6 to 8 pumps. Its hepled to stop the sweats but i had a couple of side affects which where hornys as hell and now i have heaps more body hair getting like shag pile carpet.
Now gone back to 4 pumps but still go all that hair.
One word im very happy with my castration and would of done it earlier if i could have my time again.
But think about it ,is it right for you if your going to maintain normal level why get castrated

I too am very interested in this topic as I have a date for nullification surgery next month. I already have chest hair and didn't realize it could get thicker. I've been doing electrolysis downstairs to reduce the hair so it doesn't look like a "bush". I'm mostly worried about energy level but have no interest in libido (I won't have any parts for that anymore anyway.) I've had issues with "compliance" with HRT in the past when I had low T. Some weeks I just didn't feel like giving myself a shot. I'm not sure I'd like daily T gel but maybe that would be better for me to be compliant with. I suppose if I don't feel well, that would be a good incentive to take the meds as directed.
Thanks for the information.

I hate my remaining testicle and would like to have it removed even if I had to keep a normal level level of testosterone. I hated them both when I had two. I describe this as anatomical gender dysphoria, and I expect to find relief through castration.
According to Handy et al (Sexual Medicine, 2016), about 34% of voluntary surgical eunuchs they surveyed (from this forum) are on full testosterone replacement. While I would like to try reducing my testosterone to reduce my masculinity, if the effects become unbearable, I would continue with full testosterone replacement.

In first time my E2 was a bit higher but now all is absolute normal.
Important is to use normal quantitys of T and don't overdo! 80-120mg/week is normal. On me, lower is the better for me.
