I'm on testosterone cypinate injections every 10 days and my levels were normal but I am still getting hot flashes every day does anyone know why?

It is not unusual to experience some hot flashes even when on full HRT. They are usually substantially diminished, and usually go away as your body adjusts to the HRT -- it just isn't the same as the real thing.

Thanks I needed to hear that I've been looking everywhere for information on it and they only talk about females.

I have read many posts of folks doing the 10 day between shots routine but there is a movement towards little and often.

Lets assume you are on 150 mg every 10 days (Some guys are on 200 mg)

Then try going on to 50mg shots every 3 1/2 days.

This will give far more stable results and you may suffer less from the roller coaster ride that some medics seem to put people on.

I am currently on this and feel fine with it BTW some guys are even doing shots every other day now.

Are you taking an ai with your testosterone injections my estradiol levels are high but my urologist doesn't give them I'm going to see an endocrinologist next month and I hope they will address this. I'm taking 200 ml every 10 days and I'm running in the 600's I still feel tired low labido get hot flashes I just don't feel like I used to before my surgery. I'm on Cialis 5 mg daily for my prostate and without it I'm impotent. I don't think doctor's know what we're going through after castration.

Another option is a daily rub-on gel. It's expensive but, a compounding pharmacy can normally make it for very close to the same price as the injections.

Name brand (or now the generic Androgel) is crazy in its pricing. My insurance makes it affordable. I have a friend who gets testosterone cream compounded. Instead of 1.62%, the compounding pharmacist will only compound it at 1.75% to avoid any conflict with the patent on Androgel. To get the compounding done, the pharmacist called the doctor and they worked out how the Rx needed to be written. Then, he had to get a paper copy from the doctor and from that point, it was easy to get the doctor to write the script.

The rub-on gel is a much more even way to keep your HRT therapy level.

No I'm not taking AI but am seeing endocrinologist.

I think this appointment will help you out if the consultant is any good at their job.

Cialis was suggest for me also.

Cialis 5 mg daily works for the importance and prostate I need it for both problems otherwise I'm impotent and can't urinate.

I looked up my test results for March and my t was 579 and my e was 52 wich is high I've had my t higher in the past and felt better but still had the hot flashes I was doing 200 ml every 7 days and my t was 1200 and I felt great but my doctor made me go to every 10 days and that brought it down to 579

I inject .5 ml twice a week 200 mg testosterone cypionate. Gives me a very high test level around 1100. There is some up and down, especially if i miss a dose, but i kinda like that too.
