I'm feeling different now.

And I like it so much I just had to share.

I had an orchiectomy Feb 15th, and just recently had a scrotectomy done 7 days ago. It is healing nicely, all the bruising is almost gone. Getting more comfortable each day. I do like having that baggy fleshy thing gone. It doesn't end up where its not supposed to anymore, no more rolling over in bed and having to adjust the damn thing. Even walking around feels different and "freeing", I definitely am liking it. I'm sure as it continues to heal and the stitches are gone it will be even better.

:dong: We need to have one of these without the ball sack.

Congrats!!! It's so reassuring to hear positive outcomes. I'm hoping the same will happen with my nullification. Keep smiling

Glad to hear it went ok and you are enjoying the results.

Its nice enough walking around without nuts but I guess not having a sack adds a new level of comfort.

Not to forget mentioning that on a warm day a cool breeze blowing up between your legs is so refreshing and sexy feeling.

Congrats on getting to this point of comfort and freedom! Too bad I didn't make over to that banana belt North of Seattle this trip to meet you and your better half. 24 hours in a day just simply are not enough to accomplish all the adventures we want to experience in life. But I'm now on my adventure to the meeting of the Clan.

Maybe another day. All the best.

For someone looking for the same, would you be willing to provide guidance on how you identified and engaged a doctor for this? I have tried searching some common terms and I have a hard time finding information about doctors willing to help with such.

I have tried searching some common terms and I have a hard time finding information about doctors willing to help with such.

I started out just wanting to reduce my sex drive. It was hard for my wife to understand and I've had problems staying faithful thru the years. I started researching on the web and found that often if you reduce your Testosterone production the sexual urges will diminish also. After more research I first went to Planned Parenthood who prescribed me with Spironolactone to do that. I was on that for 3 months and indeed found that my sexual drive did diminish. However I also found out that Spiro can have some bad side effects, plus, the body does not do well without any sex hormones.

After even another ton of research I figured that a little bit of Estradiol would satisfy the body. I really didn't mind whatever else the E would do to my body. Being 66 years old, the odds were against my boobs growing very much at all. So, Planned Parenthood started me on E. I've been on E now for 9 almost 10 months now and have a little breast budding, but I can chalk that up to gynecomastia if anyone asks. But nobody has.

I grew to dislike the general way that Planned Parenthood operated so I found another doctor that is about a half hour drive for me. But he was able to pick things up for me and keep me going. He also believed in more testing for hormone levels and other things just to be sure that there isn't anything else going on that shouldn't be. I talked to him about the possible negatives with the Spiro and he agreed, He told me that in his clinic there was a urologist that does orchiectomies for trans individuals. This was the first time that that possibility even occurred to me. Mind you, I don't consider myself trans in the usual way that that word is used.

But again I researched it and remembered this forum that I had stumbled upon in my earlier research. This forum opened my eyes to the fact that quite a few men are castrated and are still "men". Long story short, I contacted that urologist and he agreed to do it without any letters of any kind. I was very surprised, but took him up on it. That surgery was performed in Feb 2019. He wouldn't do the scrotectomy at the same time because he didn't feel qualified in that regard. So four months after the orchi I started looking for a Plastic Surgeon locally to do the scrotectomy, but was unable to find one that I could afford. So I found a doctor near Portland OR, that would do it for relatively cheap in his office, not requiring a hospital surgery.

I think it would be hard for someone to do things exactly the same way as I managed. I thank my lucky stars that things just happened to line up the way they did. All total I paid just under $5000 for both surgeries. Might be a little high compared to others, but I had it all in my HSA account from work anyway.

Looking back I wished that this had all happened 20-30 years ago. It would have saved my wife and myself a lot of grief in those years.

At first she was quite concerned about all this. But she has grown to like the new me. I'm more loving and thoughtful she says and more pleasant to be around. I too like the new me. I'm crying at emotional parts of movies, and I never did that before. I seem to have a whole different and better outlook on life now.

Hope my story is helpful to some.

It's nice to hear about someone being able to receive castration and scrotectomy without a hassle and at a affordable cost. I feel that once a male feels he no longer needs to procreate,he should be able to have the useless dangling hardware removed if he feels like he would be happier without them.

I'm 65 and started hormones just over 3 months ago. I'm seeing significant growth already.
