Time for Change, Mike

Hi, I am Mike and I think I belong here for many of the reasons others come here too. I have been seeing gender specialist for about 2 years and talking about myself and trying medications to reduce libido and get my mind off sexual things. They have been very accommodating and it sure feels good to be open and honest about my desires since an early age wanting a more feminine appearance etc. I have had a love hate relationship with my boy parts and the older I get the more discontent I have become.
My insurance covers all gender related visits including surgery. I have tried several medications to reduce libido including estrogen patches and spiro. After visiting the urologist to talk about orchiectomy he is suggesting trying lupron and see if it eliminates desire without to many negative side effects. He says it is the best way to lower T with least side effects.
All my life I have had sexual desires that revolve around the penis and I feel it has taken away a lot of my life. Of coarse the testicle are what causes the issue and if possible to live on low T or female range of E I want to embrace becoming a eunuch. Male to eunuch fits me very well. My wife is OK with castration too and has never liked the dangly parts. However she thinks the penis is cute when cold and small. She thinks it is a keeper and I think she is right. My doctor has mentioned I don,t have to be transgender to consider zero depth surgery because of my distaste for the bump in my pants.
Hope to find friends and share real life experiences here.
Love you all!

Have you considered taking Estrogen? If on it long enough, you will become sterile and the testicles will shrink. I've been on Estradiol for almost 3 months and have noticed shrinkage, as well as breast growth.

Yes I have tried low dose estrogen. I battle fatigue and it seemed to ease hypersexual feelings I would come home and crash. T went from 600 to high 200. No obvious other changes. Erections are not much and have not.been for a few years. Insteringly flacid am is bigger and balls are the biggest ones ever and getting looser. So no shrinkage here. Md thinks lupron may cause them to shrink but not the scrotum.

Mike,
My story is similar to years. In our case, mismatched libido. Mine very high and my wife very low. We did a chemical castration trial for four years before doing anything permanent. After two years it became a way of life. Saved our marriage. Good luck.

Welcome ! You came to the right place to learn all there is to know about castration and testosterone.
You certainly are old enough and at the right stage of life to decide if you want to lower your own sex drive or get castrated. You and your wife are done having kids at your ages and ready for less athletic sex lives from now on. So why not ?
Your reasoning seems valid and well thought out. Every man has the right to decide and determine his own level of sex drive and sexual abilities for himself. Lots of men seek less sex drive for various reasons at different stages in their lives. Your reasons seem to make perfect sense.
Enjoy reading the older posts on here to get a PHD level crash course of men s actual real life experiences with castration and male hormone level and sex drive adjustments.

Mike,
Welcome! I'm glad you are using a doctor. Getting blood tests for liver, kidney, red blood cells is so important. Also, a bone scan is important also.

Thanks Don, is there much difference between chemical and physical other than appearance. I think I am a good candidate for a eunuch both mentally and physically.

Mike, I found the transition seamless. The experience was the same. Great way to have a non-permanent test run.

Lupron is very effective and will take your T well below natural female or eunuch levels. It is also expected to make your T jump about 250 points before it crashes. BTW, the lethargy you spoke of was more likely caused by lower T than higher E. One of the things that helps with energy with low T is moderate levels of E.

Diet and exercise are also very important for your health when you lower T:

Thanks Jessica, one issue I deal with is motivation to exercise. And honestly the better I feel the less I am bothered by my sexual urge but after a while I find my mind stuck on sexual and sensual thoughts that often consume my life. I want to try lupron when I am in the best shape I can be in so I get a really good sense of what it may or may not do for me. Some here have cautioned about desires of feminization increasing to the point of transition which I am not desiring now. However I could see myself as a feminine guy without issue. I just wish years ago I would have made more feminine male friends and morphed over. But right now I want to address the bothersome amount of time thinking about things sexually and want to get balance in my life.
