9 months no HRT

Have not been on here in a while.
I have made it 9 months off the HRT. I had been on HRT for 8 years. I did gradually reduce my dose so there was not so much of a shock to the system.
I was wondering if anyone does do HRT in the summer only?
The major reason for my stopping was the thickness of the blood, high hematocit etc.

Give blood is the simple answer.
However certain lifestyles and medical conditions may make this impossible.
A lot of guys in the UK who are on TRT give blood for that reason.
However it can screw up test results if you do it too close to a blood test.

Good point.
Not an option where I live though. I know that is a normal thing in a lot of areas.

This is something I am very interested in. I have been using Androgel since being castrated. Of course it does not provide the same level or kind of testosterone that testicles provide. I find I am only edging with my libido. Almost aroused but not able to mentally or physically achieve an erection. When I get one at night it is normal erect and fun to feel and manipulate. Even when I do eventually achieve orgasm it is never as fulfilling or enjoyable as it was when I was intact. No sensation of balls flopping around or any sensation from them very much detracts from the sexual experience. My research indicates there are many negative side effects of not using testosterone replacement. Since I seem to be edging with a libido I am thinking that having no libido, no sexual abilities might be preferable to what I am experiencing. I suppose taking high calcium dose might offset the bone density side effect of no testosterone. But I do not want to develop fat or man boobs. I don't want to stop taking Androgel or discuss my concerns with my physician at this point in time. Taking Androgel on a periodic basis might be an idea, but I just don't know if that would be a good or bad idea. I have been on holiday so have not visited the site recently. I visit here mainly to learn what others are doing that works for them or does not work. I seek not advice or opinion, just curiosity and browsing. I do not like my self identity right now as a eunuch. I have always been a gay ale since puberty and was always in the closet until just recently and feel liberated by my new self identity as a proud gay man. However i now am back in the closet because I do not want anyone to discover I have been surgically castrated and am now a eunuch. I do not want to answer questions of be on the receiving end of any pity or sorrow. I feel not depressed, just mainly despair over what has happened and what can never be changed. I was hoping that Androgel might bring some normal level of libido and sexual feelings, but that has not yet happened. What i am going to do is ask my doctor to increase my Androgel dose so I can get my T level above 300 ng/dl. As of late it is below 300. So if an increase does not provide some relief I just may stop it completely.

Thanks I'm having surgery the 30th and hope that the lowering of my testosterone will help with my recovery. I'll have to let you know what happens.
