Several sites have been found to have malware and/or other bugs, as reported by users. The forums are set to disallow posting of certain links.

That, and 9 times out of 10, it points to content that wasn't supplied by the owner of the photo for wider distribution. Want to know if it's o.k.? Run the link by me and I'll tell you.

The issue with those is that unless your file is very small, you have to wait on the upload, and then wait on the download.

I use "Any Video Converter", which is free, but like most freeware, will nag you to buy the full version. Just close that window. It's fully functional as is, and pretty easy to use with a wide range of output formats.
