Gotham Coming to a Close

Season 5 ends with episode 12. The rest of the seasons had 22 episodes.

What a rip off!

It took me a while, but after suffering through season 1, I finally got into it.

I wish we'd seen more of Alexander Siddig (Siddig el Fadil - Dr. Bashir from Star Trek: DS9) as Ra's al Ghul, though. He was a near-perfect actor for this part.

When the series began, I really didn't think it was going to survive past season 2. After all, what can you do with a 12 year old Bruce Wayne? Does anyone really want to see the "Rise of the Villains"? But somehow, it worked. The actors who played all of the villains were really good in their roles, especially Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepott, the Penguin.

It's a shame that it's being rushed into ending, though, right as it was getting really good.

I think its pretty common for the first season of anything to be a bit heavy going.

Some of the most famous series around quite often got off to a dodgy start.

I put it all down to the time the cast and crew take to jell together and all the participants to acclimatise themselves into their new roles.
