The govt has approved the funding for my scrotal scar revision! It will happen on may, 7th under local anesthetic with sedation. As this was an unusual accident, the funding is approved quite quickly. ACC is very good at refusing claims for backs, knees, shoulders etc. Usually the reason is that they blame the accident on wear and tear and other age related maladies. The have experts and doctors that employed by them to refute claims. I prolapsed two lumbar discs in an accident. They denied it was an injury for 15 months, even disagreeing with there own doctor. I didnt give up and they finally approved funding for corrective surgery. My guess is they dont have an expert on scrotal scars or post vasectomy pain disorder?

Thanks for your thoughts. In hindsight I would have persued the plastic surgeon approach. The aloof urologists just blanked me, which led me to banding it, etc.

Its a few days post scar revision. All went well. The private hospital is very nice and they treat you like you are the only patient. The surgery was done under sedation wit local anesthetic. I dont remember a thing! The surgeon took off just over an inch of dogears at each end of the scar. The scar is about 6 inches long and diagonal from left lower to the top of my penis on the right side. Apart from the expected bruising and swelling, there has been no pain at all. I accept that I will always have a distinctive scar where my balls and sack were. The only other option is a skin graft, that I'm not keen on.

Congrats Brycenosak, now your name fits you even better.
I think your big scar is a very manly badge of honor for how much suffering you went through before you finally got your medically necessary castration. You should show it off with great pride, you certainly earned it the hard way in pain and a long slow castration lasting for years. Your scar will impress everyone who sees it. You can wear it proudly.

You are quite right cutnbulls! I am getting used to it and like it now the 'dog ears' are gone and its flat. Its always had a bit of color to it, so its very visible. I have just been to the doctor's to have the lower stitches out. He discovered that they had mostly come away when the blood clot had come out. He wouldnt touch me and sent me to the surgical team at the local hospital. The doctors look so young these days!! So they checked me out and took the tiny stitches out and put 4 new, bigger ones in. I've never tried 'gas' before and typically me, pigged out on it! By the time he put the local anesthetic in I was wasted, lol. Its all fixed up now. Just another week before they come out.

I went to get the stitches out a couple of days ago and nurse Anne said they wernt doing anything. They had burst again? Two doctors looked at it, the older one said to 'walk it off'. It will heal but you will end up with a big scar, which wont matter?? The younger doc said I need to contact the specialist. The surgeon's nurse told me to see the surgical team at the hospital, Yiyi! I get to see the surgeon on the 20th so will leave until then. No infection or swelling, so I am not bothered by it. I didnt expect that just a simple tidy up on the remains of my nutsack would be so eventful?
