MARCH 1--An Indiana man who yesterday accidentally shot himself in the penis and scrotum does not have a handgun license and could face criminal prosecution, police say.

According to cops, Mark Anthony Jones, 46, suffered an “accidental self-inflicted gunshot injury” while walking early Thursday morning in Marion, Indiana (where Jones resides).

During an interview in the emergency room of Marion General Hospital, Jones said that he was carrying a Hi-Point 9mm handgun in his waistband when the weapon “began to slip.”

Jones said that when he “reached down to adjust” the gun--which was not in a holster--the firearm discharged. “The bullet entered just above his penis and exited his scrotum,” police reported.

Since Jones (seen above) does not possess a state handgun license, investigators will forward the case to the Grant County Prosecuting Attorney for a determination on whether Jones will face any criminal charges.

Jones, a Marion native, has two felony convictions for narcotics dealing.

Well he could get charged with fellow in possession of a fire arm and each bullet if they wanted to could be a separate charge! Probably good idea if he is taken out of the gene pool for sure!

An Indiana man

First, it's good that, for once, it wasn't "A Florida Man".

Something tells me that if the penalty for not having a gun permit were to lose your dick and balls, that far fewer people would carry without a permit.

There's a reason why when I carry I have my pistol in a kydex holster. A pliable leather holster or worse yet no holster like the man mentioned in the story is just asking to take a bullet through the dick or the femoral artery.

Whenever I have to carry a pistol, first I try for a good holster, but if there is no time for that I always put in inside my waistband in the small of my back, if it ever did go off... getting shot in the ass is not good, but a damn site better that through the femoral artery.

Yeah, a High Point is to handguns what the Russian Lada is to cars - a cheap piece of shit! Protecting my life and that of my family is worth a little more than that pot metal paperweight provides. But then I'm not a gang banging drug dealing dumbass felon.

And Karma can be a bitch.

This guy wins a Darwin Award if he is sterilized by this. At age 46 he s had decades to use his gun and have kids. If he wasn t already willingly sterilized before this, a bullet passing your balls and blowing out your scrotum stands a good chance of destroying his vas deferens tubes and balls as it blows through his scrotum from top to bottom. His chances of being impotent from the bullet rocketing through the base of his flaccid penis are very high too. That s a big hole of damage to his erection abilities for sure.

But hey, age 46 is a prime age for neutering men. Catch that prostate cancer earlier that way. Saves him getting castrated later in life.
