This afternoon all three of my sons flew in from 3 points of the compass (Washington DC; North Carolina; San Diego), along with my 14 YO grandson. All three (identical triplets) are ranking officers in the US Navy. The highest ranking one of them (a rear admiral) commandeered a staff car with a driver, and met me for dinner at an Olive Garden restaurant. All three were in full Naval dress uniforms. We were having a grand time and loving it, when the manager came to our table, and said he wished to thank all three of them for their service, and to tell us that my money was no good at his restaurant. He comped a nearly $200 tab, and sent another bottle of wine to boot. I did tip the wait staff and bartender $50, and thanked them for their service. I left floating on air.

having recently lost the most important, dedicated and loving man in my world as a direct result of his 22 years in the U.S. Navy I also am so thankful for your son's dedication and service to making sure we can continue enjoying the freedoms we have.

As with you Kristoff for your dedication to keeping this forum open and alive for the many here who would have no other venue to share those freedoms so many have given their lives for us to enjoy.

I couldn't help but to think of the MOM where the large party of us soaked the Outback in Woodbury for several hundred dollars that one night that we got such poor service.

Given that you went to Olive Garden, I am glad that you all survived it.

Olive Garden was what Tanner (grandson) wanted, so that is what we did. First time I have met him in person. Was great!
