Tumblr Not Quite So Dead Yet

Tumblr has hidden adult content. It's a fact, accept it.
Being about one millionth as technical as many other members on here like @fhunter, even I noticed that IMAGES ON TUMBLR ARE STILL THERE.
The best I can figure is that in an effort to correct their AI having flagged something as being "adult content" when it is not actually adult content, tumblr has kept the image on their servers (at least for now). They've done this so they can restore the image should it turn out to be a basket of bread and not a female's bare ass cheeks.
What I noticed is that if you know the direct URL to the image, it still displays. Meaning, all the adult content images are still there and can be downloaded from tumblr with ease.
An example is: http://66.media.tumblr.com/43b31cf14085 ... 4_1280.jpg
It's an old Master Chirenon images from a blog and post that aren't visible via the blog. Yet, the image still displays if the media is accessed directly.

NOTE: IF A BLOG HAS BEEN DELETED and you get the message: "There's Nothing Here", then THIS EASY METHOD WILL NOT WORK.
---
THIS METHOD WILL WORK IF: you attempt to open a blog directly in your browser (not from your tumblr app or the tumblr dashboard) and get the message: "THIS TUMBLR MAY CONTAIN SENSITIVE MEDIA." In that case all the images are still on the blog, they are just hidden.
To download all the images from a hidden blog (or one that has many hidden images) download the program TumblThree and follow these steps.
1. Find a site that has tumblthree as a free download. tumblthree is open source and you should not have to pay for it. Just google tumblthree.
2. Run the downloaded file through your virus checker. If you have a trusted site for open source software, use that site.
3. Install tumblthree on your computer.
4. Open tumblthree
5. You'll need the original URL. As an example http://malegenitalmodsgalore.tumblr.com
6. Type the URL of the blog into the "Enter URL" box at the bottom of tumblthree. Note: if you've copied the original URL, tumblthree might fill in the blog from the text you copied automatically and you won't have to type the URL in the "Enter URL " box.
7. Click "Add Blog" after typing the blog's URL into the "Enter URL" box. (only if the blog hasn't been automatically added because you had copied it)
8. Click the line in tumblthree (just one click) that has the blog listed on it.
9. Click "Details" near the upper right corner of tumblthree
10. You may have to drag the details box to the left to read off the check boxes. Just hover above the line that separates the details box from the list of blogs and drag it to the left if you can't read the text next to the check boxes.
11. If you just want the images, uncheck all the details boxes except "Download images".
12. I normally leave "Download reblogged posts" checked.
13. Click the "Queue" tab near the upper right (it's next to the "Details" tab).
14. Double click the line that has the blog on it you want to get the images off of (it should already show how many downloads are available off the blog and show nothing in the "Downloaded Files" Column).
15. If the Queue doesn't start downloading automatically, click the "Crawl" button and the download will start.
15. Once the download has finished you can right click the line where the blog is listed and click "Show Files". The folder with the files will open. At that point you can copy them and paste them into a folder you'd rather have them in.
WORK FAST if you really want all the images from a blog. Most likely, tumblr will delete the blogs that have been tagged worthy of not even being displayed soon. If tumblr deletes the blog you want the images off of, this method will stop working.

Yes, tumblr sucks and is owned by a big corporateion and that's why they've hidden all the adult content. If you decide to set up a blog on another blogging site owned by a giant corporation, they too might kill all the adult content.
