Colorado adds 'X' gender option to driver's licenses

I just got back from the DMV myself. Unfortunately I must now have a doctor fill out the form they gave me, even though I brought a bunch of paperwork and signatures related to my surgery.

It may be noteworthy that the articles in my hands use only the terms "sex," "sex designation," & "sex identification," despite the linked news article mentioning "gender."
