Well not to be nit-picky or detract from A-1 (as if anyone could), but even the Native Americans came from somewhere else, across the land bridge in the Bering Straits, down through Alaska and Canada and all over the place.

And where did they come from? Somewhere in the area Ur of the Chaldeas, or from Africa with Lucy? Who knows ... but here we are, and glad to be here.

Ah the birth of civilization ... eventually giving rise to the computer, the Internet, and the Archive!;)

Thanks to all who have written to me, responded to me, etc. Believe me, it is gratifying. There is a lot going on right now, and I love this country and all it has done for me so much that I tend to get radical. I tend to believe that all our personal problems are so trivial compared to the real problems that we are facing, but maybe, hopefully, I'm wrong!

I do tend to take things too personally, and I do get frustrated when people do not see my point of view. But in spite of my faults I love this country like you would not believe, I love this archive, and above all, I love the sense of humor that some of you have. I would die to have a sense of humor like that! It is going to be very important in the years to come.

Put me on that list also my friend, I would also have been one of those emails to you but was in the hospital, out now and finally doing better. Charlie you are the best in my book dont ever leave us.
