Daifu-Orchid

Daifu-Orchid has been a very active member of the EA community and posted here on a regular basis. However, he hasn’t logged in since July 5th. The email address that he originally used to register no longer works. Does anyone have an address for him and/or know if he’s all right? We do worry about regular members who suddenly disappear without any comment that they’re leaving.

That is really great that you care and follow the regulars on here and worry about them. Hopefully he is ok and just busy or taking a break from his computer. He did post a lot of thoughful ideas.

I ve had to quit using sites when hackers infected the site access I used or infected my computer and I couldn t get rid of them or I didn t want to risk getting re infected from using those websites again.

Many times I just have nothing useful to say when I check the latest posts before I log on to a site and I don t bother to log on until I see something I can productively add to.

Hopefully he is doing well and has some similar reason that he isn t online here.

I've not heard from Daifu since July 5, I didn't get the feeling that anything was wrong however. Justine x

Daifu-Orchid is indeed OK. I have had communications with him as recently as two day ago. Life has occupied his time as it often does with all of us. He certainly has made some very helpful posts over the time he's been active and I suspect he'll continue when things settle in his personal activities.

Things often come up that are unexpected and call for a period of handling the problems with care and compassion. Glad he is still alive (and kicking). Perhaps he will be back soon.

Thank you, Begoneboy. We do worry about regulars who disappear suddenly. I look forward to Daifu-Orchid's return.

Good to hear.

While I know people value (and should expect) privacy, this forum is ultimately a help group and there are lots of people in various states of "distress" who write here regularly. So if you are a regular and plan on taking a break from posting, it is nice if you jot a note. No need to explain yourself, but it saves a lot of worry for the rest of us who are remaining.

Justine: I did just that last night. I let him know that folks were concerned that he was ok since not being on the forum for several months and that you were particularly concerned. He said he will make a post and thanked everybody for the concern. Obviously I didn't know Gloria's name so didn't mention her but am sure he understood it was from both of you.

I am personally thankful that folks here in the forum keep tabs on the many members. It's a wonderful support forum and I greatly value the many like minded members. This forum truly demonstrates that we really are not alone in our quests. I only wish I had found this forum many MANY years ago. Not that it would have changed my life choices but it would have given me a place to share like none other.
