Theres something fishy going on here.
A store in Kuwait has reportedly been shut down after it was discovered that its owners were sticking googly eyes on fish in an attempt to make them appear fresher.
Images of one of the fish, which were uploaded to Twitter by Al Bayan newspaper on Saturday, left users in hilarious disbelief at the creativeness of the stores owners.
As one would expect, there were also plenty of on-point fish puns.
From THE HUFFINGTON POST.
The pictures are hysterical to see...

Re: fishy eyes and not good fishy eyes
Its a bit unsettling for me when I go into Tapas bars in Spain and there are plates of small fish staring at you wanting to be eaten.
But then again I simply love Kid Goat.

Re: fishy eyes and not good fishy eyes
Quite a few years ago (possible even 10) I went into the supermarket that I Usually shop and the the fish counter smelled. (I'm allergic and I don't buy fish unless someone specifically asks me to buy it for them.) When I went a couple days later, the entire 15 foot of seafood counter was empty and being scrubbed down with rather harsh detergents. I didn't ask why.
Since I'm allergic, I would only buy frozen cleaned calamari for the Christmas Eve dinner. The smelts and whitefish that the family wanted, I asked my brother to buy because he liked going to "Wholey's" in the Strip District (the very best fish market in Pittsburgh). He always bought an couple pounds of shrimp to cook for lunch because he likes shrimp.
My last fish was a whole rock lobster and it was glorious. sigh!
The instant I saw anything like this plastic googly eye fraud, deceit, idiocy -- I'd leave the store and never return.
