Well, as of 2 pm today, I am a eunuch. Hurting a little, not near as much as I thought I would.

Well, I may regret saying this, but the pain has definitely been tolerable so far. Now we will see how I feel in the morning. Did I read right, that some men saw an almost immediate reduction in penis size due to less blood blow after castration?

Hey @bp3031234,
Penis shrinkage after castration (chem or physical) is because the penis isn't getting erect and stretching out the spongy tissue inside. The shrinkage would go away as soon as erections returned. But, after a short time with no erections the penis will look smaller when flaccid.
However, if you go on HRT, then the flaccid cock would look larger again.

Can't go on HRT as my PSA came back elevated. No, I have to ride this one without testosterone.

Congratulations! My experience (scrotal procedure) was that pain is only relevant for the first 24 hours or so. As for immediately decreased penis size, that should only be due to weaker erections like TopManFL said. Personally, after 2 months no T I can still get a full erection with the same length as before. It's almost ironic how little difference there is after all that hassle to get surgery. But maybe I'll feel differently given more time.
If practical, I would consider sleeping with some ice the first night.
