I have been very interested to read about the positive outcomes of their castrations for both voluntary and involuntary eunuchs. Do any of the eunuchs here wish they had been cut when they were younger ?Does anyone have any thoughts on what would be the ideal age for a man to be relieved of his testicles ?As seanthomas pointed out on another post the menopause is natures way of castrating a woman so to level the playing field and stop men from playing away neutering them in their fifties would seem about right.

Very specific answer for me:
Yes, I wish I would have done it before starting to bald. I have a bald spot on the back of my head, and a receding hairline, and that makes passing as anything else than a male difficult.
I waited for several reasons, one of them was a potential girlfriend who said she might want kids, but in hindsight - that reason shouldn't have played any role.

It has been 5 years as a eunuch as of yesterday and I was 53. I believe about 5 to 10 years earlier would of been great so early 40s is what I would say.

If the aim of castration of the husband is to make the couples sex drive more compatible, I would suggest, generally speaking, that when a mans wife is in her late 40s, when perimemopause typically begins and her sex drive often diminishes. The man can actually be younger or older than she is. The age is female dependent.

There is no ideal age for castration, It's a oneway trip that request good reflection, before to go for it. Surveys have shown that it takes about an average of 25 years for a man from the time he starts thinking about castration to the time he gets it done. For most men this starts right from puberty, around 15 y.o. If you add the 25 y. of waiting time, this makes it 40 y.o. which is a pretty common time to get it done. Nowadays, unlike older guys, with all the infos that youngsters get form the web, they get it done as young as 18 y.o. Castrated men still need love and affection, so they fear rejection, if they dare to tell their wives about this desire and that stop them to do it earlier. Even with all infos now available, this remains a very taboo and shameful subject. This make it a difficult task, for a man to talk about it, even to their spouses,. If women would only dare to explore this fantasy, they would be surprised by the responses of their husbands or BF. So, not all men would agree but those interested would come forward no matter how old they are.

I was a bit more comfortable with my body when I was 20, and found that my body was further ravaged by puberty after I turned 21. In that sense, I could say 20 years and 6 months might have been the best age to get snipped. Idealistically, I would prefer to have been born a sterile intersex individual, with no noteworthy male or female traits to speak of.

A lot of men finish having kids in their 30s to early 40s. Then they get vasectomies to be sterile and give up their fertility permanently. Years later, they get a serious urge to get castrated. It seems like men in their 50s and 60s get castrated by choice the most. By their 70s and older, normal aging is already slowly castrating most men with lower testosterone output, lower sex drives, less intense erections, orgasms, and ejaculations and less semen shooting out less forcefully. Its gets to be prostate cancer castrations that grow more common in men s 50s and older.
So, I d say 50s is the ideal age to get willingly castrated as a lifelong goal to be a gelding. Probably the 50s is early enough to help prevent prostate cancer or delay it too. Getting de balled after a man already has prostate cancer doesn t seem to save most men s lives, by then it seems too late to stop the cancer with castration.
Lots of men already need viagra and added testosterone after their 50s even when they have 2 balls in their bags. So getting castrated then is giving up less sexual ability than at younger ages. Few men have kids and want to be able to impregnate in their 50s and older. So losing his sperm makers in his 50s is a plus for most men in being castrated. Surest form of male birth control there is !

This caught my eye. I am curious. What surveys?

I cannot say what the ideal age might be, but I know in my case I have never liked having balls since I became aware of them. Had there been the internet when I was in my twenties I would have been done then. Now I am near 60 and have not been castrated but still want to be and hopefully will be soon.

I was castrated when I was 23 and that worked out well for me even though it wasn't planned. Because I Id'ed as androgyne and was steadily becoming feminized it's hard to say for sure but if I hadn't been cut already I would have wanted to have been done before 30. Justine x
