Prostitution in Bangladesh

A study by the JICA Research Institute (the research wing of the Japan International Cooperation Agency) conducted a nationally representative survey of child sex workers in Bangladesh looking at the sexual exploitation of trafficked children. They conducted both the survey and interviews with a large number of trafficked children. 1418 responses were obtained including 133 brothel-based girls, 198 hotel-based girls, 264 residence-based girls, 499 street-based girls, 141 boys, and 183 eunuchs. The report does not state where the boys and eunuchs were based.

All of the respondents were minors with an age range of 8 to 17. Average age for the entire set of 1418 was 15.5. If I read the tables right, the average age for both boys and eunuchs was lower than the average age for the total population although the ages are not clearly broken out in the tables. The tables do show boys and eunuchs as separate categories.

Of the child prostitutes surveyed, 9.9% were boys and 12.9% were eunuchs. Only 77.2% of those children trafficked for prostitution were girls and 23.8% were boys, of whom more than half were castrated. More than one in eight of the children trafficked for prostitution in Bangladesh is a castrated boy and one in ten is a boy not (yet?) castrated. Certainly not the general expectation of who is trafficked for prostitution.

Ouch ! But it sure makes sense as a way to pacify and control the male prostitutes more than if they had lots of teen testosterone in them and making them aggressive and fighting to get free. Poor kids never had any chance to be men and enjoy their balls and sex as men.

The customers must not be after hard dicks and getting fucked and seeded by the teen males. They must just want to top those eunuch boys. Its horribly sad when free sex with consenting adults is so easily available to all adults. Poor kids are wrecked for life to be subs when so many willing and eager subs would love more sex for free !

I suspect that the "eunuchs" are more accurately pre-operative transsexuals, well, since they have been castrated they are post-operative sort of. But my point is that the boys who get castrated are probably coerced or induced to becoming t-girls or lady boys, and the surgical castration is just to block testosterone without having to get the t-blocker medications to do that job. I admit that I do not know this is the case, I have never even been to Bangladesh, but it seems very likely to me that the castration is just for the initial steps to feminization, and possible vaginoplasty.

In a strict muslim society women are not available and the mutilated boys are substitutes for females. It’s hard to imagine a more horrorifying example of child exploitation. Since they probably are used for prostitution only a few years another question is what happens to them when they’re say 30 years old?This nightmare is the total opposite of the voluntary castration we discuss on here which improves men’s lives
