Intro
I'm a recently castrated eunuch ( Oct 2017 ). I lost my nuts following complications from mumps orchitis, I had severe atrophication of both balls which were left non functional. I chose to have them removed to avoid any further problems and have subsequently had the empty scrotum removed as well. I'm a straight guy so losing my balls was a major shock. I've been on replacement testosterone since straight after being deballed and can function as a male. I've had 3 dates as a eunuch but find artificial testosterone doesn't work as well as the real thing. I've also noticed myself becoming more feminine, something I wasn't expecting and am not sure how to deal with.

Hey @Rafaella
Welcome. I'd recommend seeing a very good endocrinologist. If you are already being treated by an endocrinologist, get a 2nd opinion. It's possible you are on too much T and it's converting to E. It's also possible you aren't on enough. There are many test they can do to see what's going on.
Good luck.

Re: Intro
What are your T levels? Some doctors prescribe replacement levels at a far lower level than for your age.

Thanks for the advice, I am being monitored by an endocrinologist. So far my T levels appear to be about right. Early days yet but I may be one of those guys that don't respond very well to artificial T. I am going to be checked by another endo next week.

Same here, fellow mumps victim. Happened to me at age 20, and I limped along for almost 50 years before the pain became intolerable. Had hypogonadism for about 10 years of that. Despite being on T at a level of 900 for the last few years I've noticed the same effects. Breasts, hips, as well as loss of interest, lethargy, fatigue. No, the T replacement doesn't work as well for some of us.

Hey @Rafaella,
Really glad to hear you are seeing a 2nd Endo. Actually kind of impressed you found a 2nd Endo. They can be a rare as hen's teeth. I have to travel 100 miles round trip to see a good one. But, there's a great BBQ place about half way there with a nice lunch menu - so, we kinda look forward to it.
Bring your questions with you to the 2nd Endo on a piece of paper. Keep it five or less questions. Put the paper on the exam table and sit in one of the chairs. When the doctor comes in, they'll see the paper. I write my questions using a sharpie and keep them short and to the point. It helps and most doctors appreciate it as long as the list isn't too long (which is why I keep it to five or less).
Any problem with hormones can be difficult. It can be even more difficult when the doctor doesn't believe that the symptoms are fitting the blood work. But, you know your body, be patient and bring an advocate with you. For some strange reason, I can advocate for my partner or father in a doctor's appointment better for for myself.

Thanks again for your advice, will be travelling to Canada with a friend for a second opinion. What it comes down to is I'm scared the T replacement won't work and I'll end up with a useless penis. I've already lost a bit of erect size and it's not as hard as it used to be.

Re: Intro
That s a pretty good level, not real high, not low. You should also ask to have your free level of testosterone checked, the amount of free flowing T that is flowing in your bloodstream that is not chemically binded to other chemicals in your body which inactivates it. The amount of unbinded testosterone in your body is the amount available for masculinization, virility, and sex drive. If too much of your total testosterone becomes binded and inactivated, your level of free testosterone can become too low.
