Dave Craps on a Movie (ATOMIC BLONDE 2018)

ATOMIC BLONDE
I really can't say: “Dave craps on a movie" because there's too much plot and the story is too well told. However, It’s a SPY MOVIE. Be prepared for chases, beatings, gunfights, a bomb or two, and lots of betrayal, double-crosses!
yanno - spy stuff.
The story is set in Berlin just about two days before the Berlin Wall fell. Acid flashbacks to Ronald Reagan (historically, he was out of office for 10 months, yanno), and East German escapees and the late 1980’s.
When the movie ends, the six checkpoints are open and refugees are flooding through. We are left to wonder, WHY did all this strange, murderous horse shit have to happen?
Spies. Spies. Spies.
The story is that someone has a list of all the eastern commie double agents and western double agents in Europe, Germany, and Russia. . . That includes a British double agent spy selling Western secrets to the Russians that MI6 can’t identify and -- really, really really, really, honest, no shit -- wants dead...)
Gasp, gasp, gasp.
Big effing whooopie.
So we call on Charlize Theron to save the day and kick the balls of those dastardly, evil, commies. Fights happen, clandestine spy meetings happen in filthy places happen, betrayal, snipers, fistfights, garrotes, blood splatters, more ball kicking, knee busting action.
It's stylish. Well told. Well acted. Framed in flashbacks as MI6 debriefs Charlize Theron. Charlize is blond, atomically deadly and does bruise.
This entertains but expect violence. It's like Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy without the need for brain cells and active thoughts.
