Is this true?

I was talking to poeple at another forum about how having full nullification will lower your Libido drasticly. Some woman said this: " But libido is not the deciding factor in sexuality. You can still be sexually attracted but have no libido. Removal of genitals also does not guarantee a loss of libido, especially in older men who already have established libidos. That is why historically children were made into eunuchs instead of adults, it was more effective, but it was not a guarantee."

I was also told this:" And just so you know testosterone is not all produced in the testicles. Though a high majority comes from there or ovaries in women. There is actually a gland located by the kidneys that can produce it as well. So your body can create it even if your sex organs are missing"
Are these just empty claims?

Yep having a full nullo will kill off sex drive.the gland mentioned is the adrenal gland and only produces a fraction of testosterone needed so without tackle you will rapidly loose libido.
Some folks that have full nullification take testosterone supplementation that helps to maintain the urges that a normal male has.
At this point I think I ought to hand this thread over to those who have had this surgery to put forward their views.

If you only get your testicles removed and you chose not to supplement with additional testosterone, several things will happen:
1. You will lose your sex drive. As stated, adrenal glan does not produce sufficient testosterone to keep your sex drive alive. It will plummet, you will lose your desire to have sex and
2. Your penis will slowly shrink because of disuse and loss of night time erections and
3. You won't care that you've lost your sex drive or that your testicles are gone or that your penis is shrinking but
4. You will probably experience depression as never before. The loss of the majority source of testosterone will cause depression and it might last a long time. If you start to experience depression, you'd better see your doctor immediately. I suggest to all eunuchs that they at least use a small dose of testosterone supplement to ward off depression and
5. Osteoporosis. Bone loss. Castration with the loss of testosterone causes bone loss. So supplement a little.
P.S. If you're castrated it really doesn't matter if you also have your penis cut off or removed because you won't be able to use it anyways unless you add back some testosterone. If you don't want to use your penis after castration, then there's no need to keep it.

Is losing your sex drive the same as not finding people sexually attractive anymore? I've got this woman who says that losing your genitals will not affect whether or not you become Asexual.

I would say that they are two different things. I have had times where my libido was completely tanked but I still had sexual attraction. For the time being I have neither sex drive nor sexual attraction to any gender. I can't even touch on the subject in therapy without it ruining my whole week.

I have currently very few spontaneous erections and masturbated a couple of days ago after a month's long pause. There was also no ejaculation. I also have hot flushes. But I've retained the sexual attraction (which I hope to get rid of as soon as possible, I've been on Triptorelin since mid-November).

At the risk of sounding misogynistic, that woman needs to take a huge dose of shut the fuck up already.
She can never know what this is like as she never had the parts, just in the same way I can never know what it would be like to have huge tits removed or have a hysterectomy. It's simply impossible.

While Losethem is a bit harsher in his response than I would be, he certainly has the basics right. While members here on the Archive might be able to report anecdotally about their own results of castration and/or penectomy after puberty, we have much less information about the sexuality of those historical eunuchs castrated before puberty.
There are many anecdotal (and a few medical) accounts on the active libidos and sexual abilities of eunuchs castrated before puberty who had only their testicles removed. For those who were also penectomized, I know of only a single good account. In 1925-1927, the American physician James Lincoln McCartney was in China where he studied 20 Chinese eunuchs and 3 Russian Skoptsy who had fled there to avoid persecution after the Russian Revolution. All had been castrated before puberty. Of the 23, some retained their penis but most did not. McCartney reported that all 23, whether with or without a penis, were sexually active by choice, many visiting prostitutes.
For a bit of medical evidence on sexual functioning of prepubertal eunuchs WITH a penis, there is a post about four young men with anorchia (testicles that were reabsorbed by the body and disappeared before puberty). While the testicles were not surgically removed, the results are the same. ItÂ’s the best information IÂ’ve found to date:

As a chemical eunuch since 2009, I have never stopped
But I don't have any desire to have sex with them. So, as I far I can tell, sexual attraction is totally different from sexually aroused. I would still love cuddling or kissing people I find attractive. I just lost the urge to focus on the genitals, or doing more sexual acts with them.
