Depo Testerone; Another Use With Implications for Castration

I developed Multiple Sclerosis some years ago and, for a time did all the usual treatments to little or no avail. This is a painful problem and the best I can tell anyone is to raise your threshold of annoyance and pain.

Perhaps two years ago I was reading Lancet and found a scholarly article put out by the Medical School at UCLA that dealt with MS, Pain and a possible lessening of symptoms and pain levels. Without going into the research and studies, I'll précis it by saying that 2 ccs of Depo Testosterone and injected weekly at the same time as a full vial of B-12 had proven, in some cases, to lessen pain and the usual shakiness. It was a study that had been in research for some years and the only qualm I had was the small number of persons in a double blind study. Still, if the results could offer some alleviation then it was worth discussing with my Neurologist to see what his opinion might be.

He evaluated the material, had a talk with a Doctor at UCLA and could find no reason not to begin a test period of 6 months. I knew the draw backs, he needn't tell me, but until you've had MS or Parkinson's or formative ALS it's difficult to explain how mentally and physically debilitating these are.

I started the following Friday, kept a journal, did my own blood work-almost immediately noticed a spike in Testosterone level, well beyond the "suggested" level but this was expected. That was almost two years ago.

My Urologist says that now, apart from completing the physical placing of the testes, if I had not been previously castrated, I would now be functionally castrated. A semen sample was taken and no living sperm was found. If I wanted, I could have the scrotum and testes removed or, my choice, have the testes removed and neudicles installed. These are artificial testicles that are put in show dogs to give them the right "heft" when they are being examined first to make sure they've not been neutered and second that the scrotum and testicles are the appropriate size as determined by the Westminster Kennel Club and various other organizations that set standards for dog shows.

I find that though I'm without the ability to reproduce, I still have pain if my testes are accidentally hit. Just as an additional experiment, I filled both sides with a measured amount of saline to see if the absorption rate would vary and it did not.

To date the singular negative is that as with weightlifters and others who are steroid users, I can have a quicker temper but nothing alarming; I've told those around me about this and while they may have concerns, they do understand why I'm using this protocol.

How long will I continue to use it? Well, until something better comes along or my MS has some sort of change that would suggest stopping the usage or I find that the few negatives are more than I can sustain.

Certainly I would not suggest using this as an alternative to Castration nor would I wish MS on anyone for the simple reason of using this treatment.

It does and has worked for me. Castrated, which I had done some years earlier, or not, I would continue using this protocol. I hope this may be of some interest or use to another.
