Orchiectomy Help

Hi,

I don't really know what to put here. I've been trying to find the right words, maybe I just need to explain my situation.

I was about 17 when it happened, I can't recall if it was 2002 or 2003, but I started having pain in my testicles. It was enough to be bothersome some times, but not enough to be a big problem. I was looked over by doctors and they coulden't find anything wrong with me and the pain kinda went away on it's own. maybe it was growing pains or something.

The pain showed up again in 2005 I want to say, it kept coming back every so often. it was like a 4-6 i would guess in pain scale. Enough to kinda be a bother and see a Dr about them.

THe pain came back after no cause was found the first two times in 2006 and I'd guess last for 6-9 months then go away and then come back. in 2008 the pain came back and was pretty bad, I kept trying to work through things, I was able to do that for the most part untill 2010. That's when things really fell appart.

I ended up dropping out of colledge, and started couch surfing from place to place, the pain got really bad where is was at an 8-9 and would last for days.

To discribe the pain. it is a sevear aching in the testicles that radieates into the inguinal canal area. the vice pain is fairly constand when it is there, but there is also Sharp stabbing like pain that is centered in the testicle and eppididimyus.

I tried all of the medecations perscribed for pain and orchialgia. I tried so many meds that I can't even remember half of them. I had some nerve blocks in the spermadic cord that seemed to help some, so in 2011 I had a spermadic cord neurolysis and a testicular biopsy on the left testicle. The neurolysis was not helpfull and the Biopsy was for a medical study. no abnormalities were found.

My sperm are healthy in ever sperm sample I've given, my testostarone is on the low end of normal, it alsways has been. even in my late teens early 20's. I'm 32 now. I've had a few UTI/ Prostate/ Testicular infections over the years of dealing with this. I've seen IDK I'd guess 10 urologists 3 pain specialests and other doctors for this. no one has been able to fix the pain or find the problem. The most I can get is there may be nerve damage on the spermadic cord and the neurolysis did not fix that.

I've asked more times than I can count, If there is no other option to try, why not try and remove them? I get that it's a shot in the dark on if it would help my pain or not, but after 15 years of dealing with this, I'm unemployed, can't function well, Trying to get on disability (SSI) and being told I'm not disabled enough, would you not try it. I'm gay, I don't want kids, and I know HRT is getting a lot better, it's not perfect, but it's not bad either.

I just want to have my testicles removed, I don't get why it's so hard for people to understand.

I feel like after all these years and all the rejection, tho only corse left is to try Alcohol Injections to cause the testicles to atrophy and maybe then they will remove them with the spermadic cords.

I'm seriously done with having broken testicles. when I'm out and someone asks me why I'm hurting or having issues, it's so jaring for people to think that someone would be in that much pain and suffering from their testicles. My close friends get it, but it's difficult.

I ordered some medical needles and syrenges to do this soon. I'm hoping I can get some support and more information on doing this.

If any one has a better idea, I'm game, but as I've said, I've been turned down by so many doctors that this is the only option I can find, that I can afford and will hopefully get me pain free once my testicles are gone.

I don't know what to end this with, but hopefully it will end with me having no testicles, and having less to no pain from them.

It's possible to have orchiectomy in the US with no referral, but it costs a lot.

Yeah, 7-10,000 from the Dr in flordia who specalises in Orchiealgia. I'm on state Disability so I have Jack Squat for money. Orchie is covered with my inshurance, it's just finding someone to do it in my area. I've not been able to find any one willing with just pain alone.

I've almost got everything to do the alcohol injections.

I don't think any last attempt to see a urologest before I do this is going to be any help.

You might want to search for "Dr. Arnkoff" here on this website. I think he did castration more cheaply than 7 000. Nullification by Arnkoff costs in total around 8 000 so castration should be at least somewhat cheaper.

Well, I'm doing better, I took the plunge and have done two rounds of injections of Everclear. I did 3CCs into each testicle.

Did my first injections on Nov 17th, and then the second injectons on the 30th, I'll be doing them again in about 2 weeks time. I've noticed some hardening of the testicle after they stopped swelling. that took about a week to stop being swollen.

This round is actually not as painfull. the pain has been really manageable as I already deal with chronic pain there. The results are prommising, and I feel like I'm actually doing something about having defective testicles that need to be removed.

Just wanted to check in and say I'm safe and doing well in my castration process.

Sorry to hesr of all the pain you ve had all those years. That s really rough feeling so much pain right in puberty and before you are even fully grown and before you had much chance to enjoy and use your testicles the way every young man should get to experience. Have you tried wearing jock straps every day to take the weight of your balls off your sperm cords ? That helps a lot of men manage testicular and nut cord pains. Were you checked for twisted nut cords like testicular torsions ? Intermittant testicular torsions can damage and cause chronic pain.

Good thing you re not wanting to make any kids with your balls. You don t need to worry about infertility at all.

Have you succeeded in having less pain and less sensation after the injections ? Maybe just partial damage will give you enough pain relief without a full castration ? Maybe keep them for putting out testosterone to keep you masculine and sexually able and not have pain ? As your balls go numb, you ll be able to see if your pain is coming from your balls or from your nut cords.

Hope you get the pain relief you seek. Good luck in dulling that pain with your injections.

Your after injection effects sound very similar. It sounds as though you have a plan and are working it well, as so many of us have to achieve medically necessary testicle removal.

Have you experienced hot flashes or night sweats yet?

Best wishes as you proceed to your desired outcome!

Yeah, I'm just working on the goal of getting them removed. My plan is Injections every 2 weeks and just see how it goes. I have not had hotflashes or night sweats yet. I have noticed my testicles are more sensetive to touch and causes pain, but have noticed my overall pain is down from painfull activities (Went out to walk the mall, something that becomes really painfull and hard for me to do). I'm taking this as a good sign that I'm on the right path. I've got several more injections to go untill they are dead enough to have a Dr remove them.

I need a reason that will cause my urologist to say removal is necessary.

I experienced almost identical pain to yours. Mine was a consequence of mumps, and there was obvious damage, plus they had stopped producing T. I told my urologist one day that I was tired of the pain and wanted them out. I was a little surprised when he immediately agreed to set up a surgery date. Have you considered seeing a different doctor? Maybe you can find one more sympathetic to your problem.
