Since the posting of new stories is on pause for a while, I decided to do a quick count of the number of stories currently posted in the Fiction Archive. There are currently 8,548 stories posted. For simplicity sake in counting, multi-part and multi-chapter stories have each piece counted separately.

Of those stories, 678 are in languages other than English. The largest number are in German (493 stories, or 5.8% of the total number of stories posted). Next most common are French and Spanish stories (64 and 53 respectively, or 0.7% and 0.6%). Chinese stories are fourth most common of the foreign language ones at 27 stories (0.3%). There is a single story in Hungarian and small numbers also in Portuguese, Italian, Russian, and Japanese.

Thanks Jesus. Any idea how long the pause will last? I am always toying with one or two ideas in my minds - most of which never come about. But still ......

There are also a very few stories in Dutch.

I have written more Chinese stories elsewhere but have not submitted them to EA... I will do so when I have time..
